Terry A. Coffing joined MAC Law in September of 1993 after serving as a summer clerk in 1992. Since his admission to the Minnesota State Bar Association in 1992 and the State Bar of Nevada in 1993, Mr. Coffing has gained a diverse litigation background. He is AV rated by Martindale-Hubbell. Mr. Coffing has presided and litigated numerous jury and bench trials in state and federal court in Nevada and in other states. He has obtained several multi-million dollar verdicts and served as defense counsel in multi-million dollar claims on behalf of his client. Prior to coming to MAC, Mr. Coffing served as a law clerk to the Honorable Jack Lehman in the Eighth Judicial District Court of Las Vegas as well as clerking for the United States Bankruptcy Court Judge and the United States Attorney’s Office for the District of Minnesota. Mr. Coffing served as President and Managing Partner of the law firm for 17 years, and is co-chair of the litigation department. Mr. Coffing also serves on the Board of Governors of the Nevada State Bar.. In his spare time Mr. Coffing is a horrible golfer, an automotive enthusiast and an avid skier. Mr. Gerber was honored for his work as a member of the US Army Trial Defense Service and his service in a combat zone with a Bronze Star in 2005.. After completing his service commitment, Mr. Gerber relocated to Nevada and spent the next 13 years working for one of the preeminent litigation firms in Las Vegas. Mr. Gerber represented some of the largest companies in Las Vegas, numerous small business owners and individuals starting new businesses in areas like construction, mechanic’s liens, hospitality, commercial leasing, professional malpractice and employment claims. During his time in Nevada, Mr. Gerber was promoted from associate attorney to director and finally to a position as an equity shareholder of the firm.. Mr. Gerber also developed a practice on the “other side” of the bench as an arbitrator and panel chair. As a member of the State Bar of Nevada Disciplinary Board Mr. Gerber served as a panelist and panel chair responsible for conducting hearings in attorney discipline cases. Mr. Gerber was also appointed as an arbitrator in civil litigation cases in Clark County, Nevada. Mr. Fox is an AV rated commercial trial attorney with a focus on business disputes, construction disputes, trade secret litigation, non-compete agreements and all manner of real estate issues.. Mr. Fox was admitted to the State Bar of Nevada in 2004.  After law school he served as a law clerk to the Honorable Judge David A. Wiseman in the Commonwealth of the Northern Mariana Islands.  Thereafter, he clerked with the Honorable Ron Parraguirre at the Eighth Judicial District Court and also at the Nevada Supreme Court.. After gaining the significant experience offered from clerking at both the trial court and appellate court levels, Mr. Fox joined MAC in early 2006.  He never looked back.  One of the benefits of being a MAC attorney is the supervised trust placed in young attorneys.  This offers the opportunity to make promising young attorneys into excellent attorneys by providing valuable hands-on experience at an early career stage.  Mr. Fox eagerly took this opportunity and gained extensive experience litigating contractor and mechanics lien disputes, trade secret cases, non-compete agreements and shareholder disputes.  This valuable experience gave Mr. Fox the ability to deal with complex disputes requiring extensive knowledge of how to apply the merits of a case to trial and arbitration settings.  Of equal value is Mr. Fox’s ability to take the lessons learned on larger matters and apply those to smaller client issues in an effort to aid clients in resolving disputes at early stages.  Part of an attorney’s job is to keep clients out of problems and Mr. Fox takes that to heart.. Cody is a shareholder at Marquis Aurbach where he has successfully prosecuted and defended numerous complex litigation matters while representing a number of the nation’s largest builders and owners of properties that experience construction defects. Cody has extensive background and hands on experience in the construction industry. As a former project foreman on multiple private and government commercial and residential projects, he is uniquely qualified to identify and resolve issues from planning to ribbon cutting that present themself throughout the construction process. Along with Cody’s passion and extensive experience in the construction field, he has also concentrated a significant portion of his practice in the areas of oversight, risk management, lien recovery, and insurance coverage issues that relate to the fields of construction, real estate, and business law..
