After working for a family  and criminal defense firm, I started my own law firm in 2010.   From 2010 to 2017, I worked as a solo practioner.  In 2017, I joined a large firm where I was able to continue my family law practice and work on insurance defense cases.  In 2020, along with Joe Riccio, Esq. and Boris Avramski, we started Marathon Law Group to represent clients in family law, peronsal injury, bankruptcy and criminal defense.    My focus is on the client and I personally represent every client that hires me.    I was drawn to family law prior to starting law school and I truly believe a good attorney can help people through a difficult time.    In my spare time, I enjoy spending time with my family, traveling and snowboarding.

After three decades with the Clark County Public Defender's Office, having served as lead counsel in more than 120 murder cases,  I have started my own practice. The focus will remain on homicide defense and death penalty reform, but there is no case too large or too small.. I plan to stay active training trial skills to new attorneys; testifying before the legislature on bills effecting the rights of criminal defendants and working with NACJ to improve the criminal justice system in Nevada.. After graduating in the top 1% of her high school, Kelsey Bernstein received a full scholarship to Boise State University, where she graduated with highest honors and was ranked #1 after completing her 4-year degree in just 3 years. While a student, she worked as a laboratory assistant for the advanced Biology program and as an assistant to the Vice Provost of the University, where she pioneered a tuition assistance program for students entering into STEM fields. In only her second year, Ms. Bernstein was also recruited to be a paid university tutor for the advanced Logic and Syllogism courses offered to upper level students. For her Honor’s Thesis, she drafted an original 75-page multiple regression analysis to determine the existence of a correlation between systems of government and freedom of the press.. After graduation, Ms. Bernstein was subsequently offered a full scholarship to the William S. Boyd School of Law in Las Vegas. She was invited to participate in the Nevada Law Journal in her second year and graduated with honors in 2015.. While in law school, Ms. Bernstein developed an interest in criminal appellate work, finding appellate law to be a unique blend of intellectualism, creativity and real-world practicality. After obtaining her license to practice law, she went on to write and win multiple appeals to the Nevada Supreme Court and Nevada Court of Appeals. Before her third year of practice, she won an appeal to the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals and successfully overturned a murder conviction after a 60-witness federal trial. She also recently won another murder appeal in the Nevada Supreme Court which overturned a sentence of life imprisonment without the possibility of parole.. Kelsey then established Nevada Appeal Group, a law firm dedicated to legal writing, appeals, and post-conviction relief. She has quickly become the de facto consultant for other attorneys with unique appeal and post-conviction projects, who often approach her for advice on topics ranging from proper appellate procedure to presenting novel legal issues. Adam Gill was born and raised in Bountiful, Utah before moving to Las Vegas to study law at Boyd School of Law.. A native of southern California, attorney Julian Gregory has since adopted Nevada as his home state, having resided in Nevada for all of his adult life.  While attending the University of Nevada, Las Vegas and obtaining a Bachelor of Arts degree in political science, Mr. Gregory worked as an independent technical support consultant, developing a skill set that he now uses to great effect in representing clients who have been accused of computer crimes or whose cases involve electronic evidence or discovery.. Mr. Gregory began attending the William S. He continued his education at Willamette University College of Law in Salem, Oregon, where he earned his Juris Doctor. Alberto joined the Richard Harris Personal Injury Law Firm in July 2017, and he has been practicing since May 2018.. Alberto was inspired to become a lawyer after his 6th grade teacher encouraged him to research the legal profession. A Detroit, Michigan, native, Charlie Jackson earned his bachelor’s degree in economics from Michigan State University. He went on to study law and receive his Juris Doctor from William S. Boyd School of Law at University of Nevada, Las Vegas.. Practicing since 2013, Charlie enjoys being able to bring justice to people who have been injured. In one particular case, evidence from an investigation allowed him to convince an insurance company to accept coverage for an injury which the insurance company initially denied. Without Charlie’s help, his client would have been left completely without a recovery. Situations like these allow Charlie to do what he does best-fight for accountability when companies try to take advantage of vulnerable Nevadans..
