I was born and raised on a fifth generation family farm operation south of Waco, Nebraska and was actively involved in the family's grain and livestock production.  I am a general practice attorney licensed in both South Dakota and Nebraska and have a vast amount of experience in estate and business planning, new entitiy formation, real estate and corporate transactions and municipal law.  I serve as corporate counsel and registered agent for several Nebraska corporations and limited liability companies.  My practice also includes estate and business succession planning and assisting clients with preparation of their wills, trusts, financial and healthcare power of attorney documents.  Real estate is a passion of mind and I've enjoyed the opportunity to help my clients over the years in a wide variety of real estate transactions including commercial, agricultural, and residential 1031 like kind exchanges, purchases, leases, landlord-tenant disputes, partition actions, developments, foreclosures, and tax certificates.  I am also a licensed real estate broker and Realtor and own my own real estate brokerage business, West Blue Realty. The balance of my practice is in the area of municipal law, where I've had the opportunity to serve as City Attorney for Nebraska cities and villages.  When I have free time, I enjoy spending time with my wife and three children, attending sporting events, fishing, golfing, and a good backyard BBQ!

I grew up in Lincoln but moved to Philadelphia to attend college and stayed in the New York area after graduation, working as a corporate accountant for large multi-national organizations. My love of the great outdoors later drew me to Colorado, where I continued to work as an accountant for small businesses and non-profits. After nearly two decades as an accountant, I moved back to Lincoln to attend law school and reinvest in my home town. My extensive accounting and business background provides a strong foundation for my practice areas of estate planning, real estate transactions, tax, business formations and contracts.. I am an avid cyclist, hiker, skier and traveler. I has visited 5 continents and 30 countries.
