For over 30 years I have fought on the side of individuals and families seeking fair and just compensation for injuries suffered through no fault of their own. I have always had a strong desire to see things made right, and to utilize the law, and our country's legal system, to hold those causing harm to others accountable for their actions. If you have been left injured in the aftermath of a car, truck, or motorcycle accident, or if you've been the victim of dental malpractice, I have the knowledge and experience you need to put yourself in a position to seek, and obtain, just compensation.. When I am not fighting for my clients, you may find me on a river, in a blind, on the slopes, or poking around in the dirt in my vegetable garden.

Being a family law attorney is more than a job to me — it's my calling. I spent years honing my legal skills at big corporate law firms in New York City, but I eventually found myself reeling from a divorce, and it was that experience that showed me the best use for my skills. I realized that could bring something fresh to family law and help ease the strain of those difficult legal situations for my clients. I wanted others to have a better experience navigating family law than I did.Following my passion, I joined a firm in Evergreen, Colo., as an associate attorney, practicing family and estate law in 2010. Four years later, I launched a solo practice, Andersen Law PC.I work hard every day to be a great attorney and advocate for my clients, and although I have a stellar back office team and network of advisers, I am always the point of contact for my clients. Launching Andersen Law PC has allowed me to offer clients more benefits than ever before. I can be more creative with my billing, offering full-service representation with affordable retainers, unbundled — pay-as-you-go — services and anything in between. To be available to my clients in ways that are convenient for them, I am always seeking new technology. I offer video conferencing, online document sharing, e-billing, credit card payment, text updates and automated document organization — all at affordable price points. The communities where I live and work have been instrumental in my success, and it's important to me to give back. I have served on the Jefferson County Access to Justice Committee, Evergreen Rotary Board, Evergreen Area Chamber Board, Lutheran Church of the Cross Council, Video Conferencing Pro Bono Program for Colorado, and I participate in mock trial coaching. I helped form and am on the board of the nonprofit Evergreen Chamber Community Fund and continue to serve the underserved with several hours of pro bono legal work each month.

A native Midwesterner, I was born in Macomb, Illinois, and was raised in Iowa and Missouri. I graduated Suma Cum Laude from Truman State University, with a BA in English and a minor in History, during which time I also studied abroad in Heidelberg, Germany. In 1987, I graduated with a law degree from the University of Colorado and after my graduation, worked at two general practice law firms.. In 1990, believing that law should be more personalized and less costly, I opened my own law firm which specializes in family law, high asset divorces, custody matters, grandparent rights, and estate planning. I am happily married to my husband Gary, and have two children, Mark and Jacquie. My interests include hiking with my two dogs, riding horses, tennis, scuba diving, and traveling, and am a member of Abiding Hope Lutheran Church in Littleton.. Besides the practice of law, I have served as a substitute judge for the municipal courts of Central City and Nederland. I have also hosted a bi-weekly radio show on Castle Rock Radio called Family Law at Five, and am a monthly columnist for the Yampa Valley Voice. I am fluent in German and also speak some French.
