Ms. Durrett graduated from the University of North Carolina and earned her law degree from Southern Methodist University in Dallas, Texas. After practicing insurance defense for two years in metropolitan Dallas, Texas, she and her husband, a Louisville native, relocated to Louisville to start a family in 2002. After working in insurance defense in Louisville for another five years, Ms. Durrett opened De Renzo Durrett, PLLC, in 2008, shortly after she and her husband had twin sons.
