He is a frequent speaker on medical- legal topics, including all aspects of physician peer review and credentialing, managed care liability and loss prevention.  Mr. Phillips is a past president of the California Society for Healthcare Attorneys and an active member of the California Academy of Attorneys for Healthcare Professionals.. Prior to attending law school, Mr. Phillips served as a naval officer on sea duty for four years.  He graduated from Whitman College in 1973.
