I began my legal journey at DePaul University College of Law, where I served as the President of OUTlaws (LGBT Rights Organization), Articles Editor for the DePaul Rule of Law Journal, a staff member of the Journal for Social Justice, an intern for the DePaul International Human Rights Law Institute, and a law clerk at the Council on American Islamic Relations-Chicago. My motivation for becoming a lawyer was to help people in need, but I quickly discovered an equal passion for contract law. In my final summer of study, I was fortunate to secure a summer associate position and later full-time position with a small practice in Philadelphia, where I primarily handled life insurance contracts.
