I grew up in Manitowoc, WI, and from the very beginning, sports played a huge part in my life. I played baseball, basketball, and football up and through the varsity level in high school before accepting a scholarship to play collegiate baseball in Kansas City, Kansas. After one year I transferred to Viterbo University to finish my playing career. I was awarded All-Conference honors, a conference gold glove award for my play at 3rd base, and was voted as team captain my final two years.. Since I grew up in Wisconsin, I am a big Brewers, Packers, Bucks and Badgers sports fan. I love to golf, play slowpitch softball, rec basketball, and most importantly, spend time with my family.  I live in Bloomington with my beautiful wife, Abby, little boy, Miles and little girl Marlayna.. Playing baseball through the college level taught me key values I use when representing my clients: determination, preparation, and passion. Growing up playing baseball taught me that preparation is necessary, and I need to be comfortable in stressful situations. The world of criminal law is fast paced, full of curve balls, and sometimes its pretty uncomfortable… but it is what I do, day in and day out.
