I am a late arrival to the field of law. Following High School, I became employed as a baker while attempting to pursue a career in music. I was employed by Costco for over 20 years, and in that time, while keeping my love for music, I also entertained other hobbies. I received a black belt in Shudo-Kan karate from Master Ken Polite of Modesto, CA in 1990, a hobby I thoroughly enjoyed and one that helped me grow personally on many levels. I also became fascinated with guns and firearms related matters, such as ballistics and forensics, which has been helpful in the practice of criminal defense. Prior to attending law school I discovered a fascination with Astronomy through courses at Modesto Junior College with a truly wonderful professor, Dr. William Luebke. To simultaneously preserve a relationship with my wife of 27 years and maintain our family, provide for the household, and complete law school and ultimately pass the Bar exam, required hard work and persistence; these same traits drive me to do my best to become the most competent attorney I can, and to thereby better assist my clients.

I am a Certified Specialist in Probate, Estate Planning and Trust Law and have handled more than 2,000 estate plans, more than 200 estate administrations and at least a 100 estate litigation matters. I have the legal and tax experience needed to competently handle the personal and financial issues involved in any size estate.
