I was born and raised in Visalia, California. My mother was a teacher and is now a school administrator, my father was a farmer and mechanic. Both of my brothers are active duty military --Army and Marines.. I received my B.A. in Linguistics from Fresno State University and went on to earn my law degree from the University of Idaho, graduating in 2013.. In December 2013 I joined the Law Offices of Rockwell, Kelly & Duarte in Modesto, CA and could not be any happier. I am passionate, enthusiastic, and dedicated to representing California's injured workers.. Shortly after joining Rockwell, Kelly & Duarte I became a member of the California Applicants' Attorneys Association. I now serve on the Board of Directors and Women's Caucus. I have lobbied in Sacramento many times working to change the law for injured workers and have served as a panelist for the California Society of Industrial Medicine and Surgery discussing gender bias in workers' compensation.. Outside of the office, I am an avid cyclist. I began cycling to meet friends and enjoy an active and healthy lifestyle. I participated in many century rides (100 miles) throughout California. This quickly turned into something more than just fun on the weekends. Now I race for the local team—Funsport Bikes Cycling Team.
