I received a black belt in Shudo-Kan karate from Master Ken Polite of Modesto, CA in 1990, a hobby I thoroughly enjoyed and one that helped me grow personally on many levels. I also became fascinated with guns and firearms related matters, such as ballistics and forensics, which has been helpful in the practice of criminal defense. Prior to attending law school I discovered a fascination with Astronomy through courses at Modesto Junior College with a truly wonderful professor, Dr. William Luebke. To simultaneously preserve a relationship with my wife of 27 years and maintain our family, provide for the household, and complete law school and ultimately pass the Bar exam, required hard work and persistence; these same traits drive me to do my best to become the most competent attorney I can, and to thereby better assist my clients.
