Her technical expertise includes biology and computer science.  During her undergraduate studies, Dana was a lab and field research assistant in the Hoekstra Laboratory at Harvard University. There, she assisted with the completion of a long term behavioral genetics study on deer mice. The study was published in Nature and was reported on in the New York Times, Boston Globe, BBC, and SCIENCE magazine.. Prior to joining Lee & Hayes, Dana worked as a summer associate for the firm. Dana was a law clerk for the California Medical Association (CMA), a professional organization representing more than 40,000 member physicians in the state of California. There, she drafted briefs and articles for inclusion in the California Physician’s Legal Handbook, and conducted legal research on topics ranging from eMedicine, the constitutionality of California’s CURES database, HIPAA, copyright and work-for-hire. While at CMA, Dana led a research project on patent trolls.
