I completed my bachelor’s degree at the University of Tennessee Knoxville in 2004. I graduated with honors from the Nashville School of Law in 2009 earning a membership in the prestigious Cooper’s Inn Honor Society. While in law school, I was a student member of the Harry Phillips American Inn of Court in 2009.. I am admitted to practice in the United States District Court for the Middle District of Tennessee. I have been a member of the Tennessee Association for Justice since 2008. In 2012, I was appointed as a Presidential Nominee to the Tennessee Association for Justice’s Board of Governors, and I currently serve on the Board today. I have been a member of the Nashville Bar Association since 2007. Beginning in 2012, I have served on the board of the Nashville Bar Association Young Lawyer’s Division. I have been a member of the American Association for Justice since 2009.. I was recognized by my peers as Best of the Bar for 2014 in the Nashville Business Journal.
I am a born and raised fourth generation Nashvillian. After graduating from Montgomery Bell Academy in Nashville, I attended college at The University of the South. I then returned home to attend law school at Vanderbilt University.. When I was in elementary school, my family went through some very difficult financial and legal matters. I did not undersatnd everything that was going on, but I did know that when the lawyers called, things tended to calm down. As a result, I see my job as a lawyer as helping to bring calm and direction to what feels like chaotic, scary situations to my clients.. Since graduating from law school, I have specifically focused my practice on helping injury victims and their families. I enjoy getting to know my clients and walking alongside them through the difficulties that injuries present for them from physical pain, to emotional stress and the financial difficulties that come along with it.. At the end of the day, I want my clients to think of me not just as their lawyer, but as their friend and a member of their extended family.
