I’m an Alabamian who made Nashville home. I’m happy to be here serving the great people of middle Tennessee. I live in Nashville with my husband, and I am an avid Preds fan who loves country music and good southern food.. I graduated from the University of Alabama before going to Cumberland School of Law in Birmingham, Alabama where I was fortunate enough to learn trial skills from some of the best professors around. I’ve been practicing family law for 2 years, and it is truly my passion.

I was born raised and educated in Nashville and Middle Tennessee. It's home. My father was a lawyer in Madison,Tn and I always wanted to be a lawyer. My first job was to go to his law office on Saturday morning to clean the office while he met with clients or did some paper work. After college , I worked in a family business before law school. It gave me an appreciation of making a living .I decided to go to law school,but I had a wife and daughter so I went to the Nashville School of Law and worked during the day. During law school, I clerked for a Circuit Court Judge in Nashville. It gave me an inside look at how the courts run rather than a sterile law school approach. I enjoy representing the person who runs afoul of the law law or is taken advantage of by big insurance companies. I want to level the playing field so the police or insurance claims adjusters do not run all over of the courtroom, I like to take my youngest son on fishing trips. I never miss a Titan's SEC football. A little known fact is I enjoy cooking on a Big Green Egg Churchill stated the greatest gift the English gave America is the right to a jury trial. I think that is more true today than ever.

I grew up in Dothan, Alabama and graduated from Auburn University in 1985.  I have lived in Nashville since 1986 and I love it!  I love to travel, even if it is just to the beach for a long weekend.  I like being outdoors and love to take long walks with my labradoodle, Stella, for exercise.  I am married to attorney Phillip Miller and we share office space in a beautiful Victorian house on Woodland Street in Nashville...very convenient to the Courthouse, and free parking!  My favorite thing about practicing family law is that I get to help people work through very difficult situations, and I am result-oriented...If you are in the process of a divorce or are considering a divorce, I urge you to focus on the solution instead of the problem...and hire a lawyer who will do the same!

I graduated from law school in 2008 and began my legal career at a large law firm, handling complex commercial civil litigation. After seven years at the firm, I decided that I wanted to take my career (and my life) in a very different direction and, so, I accepted a position as a judicial law clerk to a federal district court judge. It was a true honor to work behind the scenes in federal court and really rounded out my knowledge of the legal system.  After my two-year term as a law clerk came to an end, I was presented with the opportunity to a domestic law and civil rights firm here in Nashville.  Then, in the summer of 2019, I launched my own law practice, Morris Family Law, PLLC, and I look forward to serving clients and being a member of the Nashville legal community for many years to come..
