I left to start private practice to ulitize my bilingual skills in Spanish due to the lack of attorneys capable of communicating properly with clients in legal matters that could have severe consequences for years after. In 2012 I ran for public office, prompted by my community to step up, and won a race for School Board Trustee of Oakland Unified School District. I currently represent constituents in District 5 for a 4 year term..
