Edris Rodriguez received two Bachelor of Arts degrees in Language Studies and Politics from the University of California, Santa Cruz, in June of 2006.  While at U.C. BioTerry Buller was born in Cleveland Ohio in 1950, spent his childhood in Buffalo New York until his family moved to California when he was 12. He attended Serra high school in San Mateo and grew up in San Bruno.. As the oldest of seven children, he had to work in a gas station to support himself through college. He was the first in his family to graduate, magna sum laude, from San Francisco State University. He began a graduate school program in experimental psychology, but changed paths after a year to enter law school.. He went to law school at the University of San Francisco where he participated in law review, a participatory course at the California Atty. Gen.’s office and especially enjoyed acting as a mentor/tutor for special admission first-year students. He worked the last year of law school as a law clerk in a prestigious Oakland law firm specializing in personal injury cases. He became a member of the California State Bar December of 1976 and had his first personal injury trial in January of 1977. (He won the product liability case against Coca-Cola and has continued to receive client referrals from the East Bay community ever since). She won a record $15 million judgment in a lawsuit against a fraudulent immigration consultant preying on Oakland families. And she launched an initiative to crack down on illegal dumping, which has resulted in thousands of dollars in fines for people who dump their trash on Oakland streets.. Barbara also serves as Board President of the Black Adoption Placement and Research Center, which for more than 30 years has found permanent homes for children, the majority of whom are in California’s foster care system.. She has lived in Oakland for more than three decades and is a long time resident of the Haddon Hill neighborhood near Oakland’s Lake Merritt.

Serving as special counsel for the State of California, multiple California counties and the City and County of San Francisco, Stephen investigated a half-century of efforts by the tobacco industry to promote smoking by teenagers as part of the multi-state litigation against the tobacco industry. He deposed senior tobacco marketing executives and succeeded in obtaining the production of documents from R.J. Reynolds Tobacco Co. (RJR) on current marketing programs. The documents produced by RJR included its infamous "Project SCUM" campaign.. Upon the successful conclusion of the historic litigation, Stephen drafted a lengthy letter to California Attorney General Bill Lockyer calling for him to bring an enforcement action against RJR for advertising in magazines with a high teen readership. The Attorney General filed a lawsuit against RJR in 2001. Three years later, a settlement was reached requiring RJR to pay a $17 million fine and cease its advertising in magazines with a teen audience of 15% or more of its readers.. Today, Stephen serves as Of Counsel at the Dolan Law Firm. He directs the firm's marketing efforts and actively participates in the investigation and review of new cases involving serious personal injuries, bicycle, motorcycle and vehicle accidents, employment discrimination and wrongful termination, elder abuse and neglect, and fraud against the government (False Claims Act and whistleblower cases).. Stephen is a frequent speaker on topics related to legal marketing. He served as a member of the Board of Governors of the Consumer Attorneys of California from 2007 to 2015, and remains an active member of the organization. In the Pacific States Steel case, which has been in and out of litigation since 1979, Mr. Lazear fought successfully to force the company to pay hundreds of steelworkers’ their promised lifetime medical benefits.  After their plant was shut down, he was able to secure the land and the plant itself as collateral against the amounts owed the many pensioners. After convincing the United States District Court to force the company to turn over to the plaintiffs the large piece of contaminated property in Union City, California, which had held the plant, Lazear’s diligence ultimately saw the land remediated, sold, and developed into 800 homes, with tens of millions of dollars in proceeds distributed to the plaintiff class.. Having tried dozens of employment cases to verdict, Mr. Lazear has also fought for employees’ rights at the California Supreme Court, at the United States Court of Appeals for the 9th Circuit, and at numerous other courts in California and nationwide.. Mr. Lazear has not only helped empower employees in the workplace, but has tried to verdict complex matters relating to medical malpractice, commercial disputes, and land use. The common theme of Mr. Lazear’s high-quality, diverse representation is that he works to make a positive societal impact in every case..
