Paul was born and raised in Omaha, Nebraska. He graduated from Hastings College in 2013 with a Bachelor of Arts in Marketing and graduated Cum Laude from Creighton University School of Law in 2018 with a Juris Doctor degree. During his time at Creighton, Paul received the CALI Excellence for the Future Award in three courses: Estate Planning, Cross-Examination, and International Criminal Law. He also wrote United States v. Hughes, For Purposes of the Lacey Act Circuit Split, The Eighth Circuit Hunts Down the Proper Definition of Market Value, which was published by the Creighton Law Review. Paul says his most enjoyable moments at Creighton involved passing on his writing and drafting experience by working on the Creighton Law Review Board as a Student Articles Editor and as an associate of the Creighton University School of Law Legal Writing Center.Growing up on the Western edge of Omaha has exposed him to both rural and urban lifestyles. Mr. Svoboda is a civil litigation attorney with over 29 years of industry experience. He joined Evans & Dixon in 2021 and brought with him a diverse practice which includes personal injury, wrongful death, product liability, probate & trust litigation, insurance law, commercial litigation, and medical malpractice.. Earlier in his career, Mr. Svoboda represented Ford Motor Company in a case titled Dobrovolny v. Ford, which solidified the Economic Loss Doctrine in Nebraska. Michael is originally from Delhi, Iowa, a small town located on the Eastern side of the state 40 miles west of the Illinois border. Michael is the last of four children and only son born to John and Lois Sands. Along with his sisters, Angela, Amy, and Jennifer, he attended Maquoketa Valley High School. While in school, he played football, basketball, track, and golf. During the summer when he wasn’t working construction, he enjoyed boating with his friends on Lake Delhi. After high school, Michael went to The University of Iowa where he graduated with his Bachelor of Arts majoring in Political Science.. Upon completion of undergraduate school, Michael attended Creighton University to obtain his Juris Doctor and Masters in Business Administration. Jeffrey T. Jacob (Jake) M. Steinkemper attended Arizona State University in 1992 on a baseball scholarship. During college Jake was drafted and played professional baseball. After a shoulder injury ended his playing career, he returned to ASU and earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in 1998. Jake went on to earn a Juris Doctorate in 2002 from Creighton University School of Law, and a Masters of Science in 2005 from New York University. Born and raised in Omaha, Bob attended Creighton Prep High School where he graduated in 1978. He then attended Creighton University graduating magna cum laude with a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration in 1982 and summa cum laude with a Juris Doctorate in 1985.. In 1983, he began working for McGrath, North, O’Malley & Kratz (now McGrath, North, Mullin & Kratz).  Working directly under the firm's managing partner, he handled primarily corporate, tax, and securities matters.. In 1986, he joined his father, Jim Knowles, Sr., at Knowles Law Firm and since then has focused his practice on personal injury cases.  The firm is now comprised of his brother, daughter, son, and two nephews, all of whom were born and raised in Omaha and graduated from Creighton Law School.  His father remains "of counsel" to the firm.. Over the past 31 years, he has successfully tried jury cases in both federal and state courts.  While the majority of his practice involves handling motor vehicle accident injury claims, he has also successfully handled claims involving premises liability, product liability including a wrongful death claim resulting from a defective lift chair, and medical malpractice involving anesthesia error on an infant and failure to diagnose and treat melanoma.. Bob is the past president of the Touchdown Club of Nebraska, which at the time was the largest booster organization for the University of Nebraska football. He currently serves on the Board of Director’s for the Nebraska Chapter of the National Football Foundation and College Hall of Fame. He is also heavily involved in the activities of his church.. During his free time, he enjoys spending time with his family and friends, golfing, and traveling.
