Mr. Meredith was born in Annapolis, Maryland and grew up in Severna Park, Maryland where he graduated from Severna Park High School in 2003.. He attended Flagler College in St. Augustine, Florida where he graduated Cum Laude with a Bachelors Degree in Political Science and a Minor in Pre-Law. While attending Flagler, Mr. Meredith was honored with the Samuel Proctor Memorial Scholarship which is awarded to the top Pre-Law student.. Mr. Meredith attended University of Baltimore School of Law beginning in the fall of 2007 and graduated in May 2010. While attending University of Baltimore, Mr. Meredith was elected to the law school’s student government 3 times including being elected President of the law school in his third year of law school. He also competed in the Robert Wagner Labor Law Moot Court Competition hosted by New York Law School.. After graduating, Mr. Meredith was honored to serve as a judicial law clerk for the Hon. Joseph F. Murphy, Jr., on the Court of Appeals of Maryland for a one year term.. Following the end of his clerkship, Mr. Meredith joined Iliff, Meredith, Wildberger & Brennan, P.C. in August, 2011 and began practicing law. Since beginning his practice, Mr. Meredith has focused primarily on representing plaintiffs in Medical Malpractice litigation to help clients obtain compensation for injuries resulting from medical negligence.  Mr. Meredith also represents plaintiffs in serious personal injury or wrongful death cases that involve other areas of law, such as automobile or truck accidents or product liability. In addition to his plaintiff’s practice, Mr. Meredith has also served as defense counsel to attorneys in legal malpractice suits.. Mr. Meredith now lives in Severna Park, Maryland with his wife, Jessica, who is a 2nd grade teacher at Folger McKinsey Elementary School in Severna Park, and their daughters, Elizabeth and Margaret.

Jeremiah has been a member of the Maryland bar since December 2006.  His commitment to public service has led him to the Womens Law Center and the YWCA Annapolis where he has participated as an attorney in the Reduced Fee Custody Project. He is also a member of Civil Justice, Inc., an organization dedicated to providing legal services to people who might not otherwise be able to afford it.. As a former Air Force brat, Jeremiah understands the military lifestyle first-hand.. Prior to starting the Chiappelli Law Firm, LLC, Jeremiah was privileged to apprentice with The Law Offices of Alan S. Forman, LLC, Walsh and Company, PA, and Gary Greenwald, PC.. I started practice over 30 years ago with a big law firm defending medical neligence cases.  I rose through the ranks to the point where I was vice chair of my large law firm.  When a close family member experienced a devestating injury as a result of a medical error, I decided to "cross the street" and prosecute a medical malpractice claim.  The experience was a good one.  The recovery I achieved for my loved one was such that it  will enable her to live independently for the rest of her life.  This experience convinced me that I should leave the big law firm and set up a small "boutique" practice where I could concentrate on handling these kinds of claims.  I took this step in 1995.  In the years since 1995, I have been honored by the opportunity to help many individuals injured by medical mistakes.

I graduated from the University of Maryland School of Law, and began to practice law in 1992.  I began the practice of law at a large firm in Baltimore, where I remained until April, 1995.  In 1995, I left the large law firm to join the small litigation firm which is now named Iliff, Meredith, Wildberger & Brennan, P.C.  I became a shareholder of the firm which is now named Iliff, Meredith, Wildberger & Brennan, P.C. in 2003, and I am currently the managing shareholder of Iliff, Meredith, Wildberger & Brennan, P.C.    Since 1995, my practice has emphasized representation of attorneys in  defense of professional liability civil cases and attorney discipline cases.  My practice also regularly includes appellate litigation, insurance coverage disputes and litigation, and commercial and business litigation.   I have been counsel in many cases that have that have contributed to the development of the law, in my various areas of practice, through reported opinions.     I am active in the legal community and in the community at large.  I am a member of the Board of Trustees, and currently Treasurer, of the James C. Cawood, Jr. American Inn of Court.  I am a member of several ABA committees and sections, including ABA Lawyers Professional Liability Consortium, ABA Center for Professional Responsibility, ABA Standing Committee on Lawyers Professional Liability, and ABA Litigation Section, Appellate Practice Committee.  I am also active in the Maryland State Bar Association, as a member of the Litigation Section, Appellate Practice Committee.  I have also served on the Professional Ethics Committee of the Bar Association of Baltimore City.   In terms of my involvement in the community at large, I have served for many years as a member of the Board of Directors of the Arc of the Central Chesapeake Region, a non-profit organization that provides services to people with intellectual and developmental disabilities and their families, and I have also served as an officer of this organization.  I have also served on the Board of Trustees of St. Margaret’s Day School and as a member of the Vestry of St. Margaret’s Episcopal Church.        I have written articles or presentations on a number of topics, including “Role of Expert Witnesses in Legal Malpractice Cases,” “Fee Disputes: Things to Think About,” “Settlement Recommendations: High Risk Behavior for Maryland Attorneys,” “Ex Parte Communications with Former Employees of an Adverse Party: Maryland Lawyers Proceed at Their Own Risk,” “Risk Management for Attorneys,” “Expert Testimony Under Maryland and Federal Law,” and “Perils of ‘E-Discovery.’”

For as long as I remember, I wanted to be an attorney. My father and founder of the firm, Vernon Frame, was a practicing attorney for over 65 years serving the community before he retired in 2002 at the age of 80. I grew up watching him help the residents of Anne Arundel County when they needed legal advice or representation.. While at Hopkins, I played for the Blue Jay’s Women’s lacrosse team. After graduation, I went on to attend the University of Baltimore School of Law and graduated with honors.. After working for a mid-size firm in Baltimore, where my job was to represent defendants and insurance companies in auto accident and workers’ compensation cases, I soon realized that this was a far different type of legal work than what my father had done, and what I wanted to do for my community. So, in 1996, I came back home to Anne Arundel County, and worked alongside my father, helping the residents of Anne Arundel County.. For the first 10 years, I served as a general practice attorney handling cases such as family law, bankruptcy, adoptions, guardianships, criminal matters, DWI and traffic offenses which helped me develop a very diverse background understanding clients’ circumstances, personal experiences, and concerns. It also provided me a wealth of insight into the various factors that play into each and every unique situation.. In recent years, I was able to expand the firm and now have a legal team dedicated to family law and personal injury, allowing me more time to focus on my passion – estate planning.
