Since 2009, I have focused solely on family law including divorce, custody, support, abuse, adoptions, prenuptial agreements and name changes. I practice in both Pennsylvania and New Jersey, and have experience handling cases with a variety of financial circumstances. Prior to forming my own law firm, I practiced family law for nationally recognized firms in the Philadelphia area and New Jersey. Mike Assad represents individual and corporate debtors and creditors in reorganizations and liquidations in the U.S. Bankruptcy Courts for the Eastern, Middle, and Western Districts of Pennsylvania and the District of New Jersey. He is a member of the local bankruptcy rules committee in the Eastern District, serves as the Third Circuit leader for the National Association of Consumer Bankruptcy Attorneys, and has lectured for the Pennsylvania Bar Institute.. He became one of the youngest elected officials in New Jersey’s history when he was elected to the Absecon Board of Education in 2006. He was also treasurer of the law school’s Youth Court Society, where he volunteered to teach students about restorative justice in Chester public schools.
