In 1987 and 1988 he was a member of the Philadelphia Bar Association’s Legislative Liaison Committee. He also served on the Board of Directors of the Pennsylvania Trial Lawyers from 1986 through 1993 and is presently an active member of both the Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and American Association for Justice. He maintains membership in Tau Epsilon legal fraternity and is a life member of Alpha Kappa Psi fraternity. In connection with the court systems, he presently serves as judge pro tempore and prior to that, as a mediator for the Court of Common Pleas of Philadelphia County. Mr. Metzger has served as a mediator in the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania, and is presently active as an arbitrator in contested accident liability cases.
