We are Attorneys Alexis and Mark Breyer, "The Husband and Wife Law Team." We began our practice in 1996. Only a small percentage of Arizona lawyers are even qualified to sit for the exam to earn this distinction. Among other qualifications, to earn this certification an attorney must have gone to trial for his client in a personal injury matter a requisite number of times as well as received positive feedback from other personal injury lawyers, insurance defense lawyers, and even the judges in front of whom the attorney has tried cases. After all of the feedback is received and reviewed by the State Bar, the attorney must pass a challenging exam which is given to test the attorney’s knowledge and grasp of personal injury law.. After helping so many people who have suffered the effects of a serious, unexpected injury, we know that suffering a significant injury is traumatic. We wrote this book in the hope that the information we have written will benefit anybody who is going to embark on a personal injury claim, has already begun such a claim, or has a close friend or family member going through the process. Often times, it is the "unknown" that can cause the greatest stress and anxiety. While this book pulls no punches – we address in straightforward terms some of the obstacles that prevent a deserving, innocent injury victim from getting a fair recovery – it should also eliminate the stress of having no idea what comes next and how the process usually works.. Few people have enough understanding in these matters to feel at ease when they are facing a personal injury lawsuit, or even the fear of making a claim with an opposing insurance company. It is our goal to provide you with information to help you address a wide range of decisions, from the decision to hire the "right" Arizona personal injury lawyer for you, to the decision whether to even begin the process of receiving fair compensation.. While we are in practice together, it is not all that we do. Like most people, we stay very busy outside of our working lives, as well. We have a large family of 7 children, made up of 4 girls and 3 boys. While we have been lucky enough to never suffer the personal loss due to a serious injury, we have witnessed first hand just how devastating injuries can be to good, honest, fair people. Through the years, we have seen how another person’s or company’s reckless choices can change the life of the average person in the blink of an eye. This book will provide some measure of comfort to those who are facing the legal challenges ahead of them by providing some of the most valuable assets a lawyer can give: knowledge, honesty, and answers.

I grew up primarily in Michigan and also Gilbert, Arizona.  I have lived in several other states, including Nebraska, Utah and Nevada.  I also spent 2 years living in Brazil and am still relatively proficient in Portuguese.. Prior to law school, I received an English Degree at Brigham Young University.  While at BYU, I spent several summers working as a Counselor for a youth program, which I enjoyed immensely.  I graduated from Creighton Law school in 2009 and currently am practicing in the areas of Bankruptcy and Family Law.    After, finishing law school, I decided to make my home back here in Arizona.. Outside of practicing law I enjoy a myriad of other pursuits including theater, basketball, racquetball, writing, and dancing.

I am originally from a small town in Illinois, but gravitated to the "big city" for college and law school.  I attended North Central College in Naperville, Illinois, a suburb of Chicago, and The John Marshall Law School in Chicago, Illinois.  The story goes, that I have wanted to be a lawyer since the 5th grade.. After visiting the valley several times, my husband and I moved to Phoenix, Arizona in 2006.  I have three beautiful children that keep me on my toes.  When I do have spare time, I enjoy reading, running, and golfing..
