At one point, Rich recalls having eight relatives working the mine. His paternal grandfather worked in a mill in Canonsburg, Pennsylvania, which produced steel for bridges.. In what has now become a lengthy career my practice has been one in which I have represented individuals  involved in legal matters in which the opposition is large, well funded and well represented.  Most of my cases have involved personal injury cases in which the true opposition is an insurance company who has the means to fight long and hard to defeat or minimize a claim.  My goal has been the opposite, to grind it out and fight just as long and hard to obtain a fair resolution based on the law and the facts.  In conjuction with the law firm of Abes Baumann, P.
