When I am not working, I spend a lot of time with my wife, four adult children and six grandchildren. I also am an avid surfer (still on a short board), a muscian (drummer), love the outdoors, am a USSF, CIF, and AYSO soccer referee. I also like to get out on a boat to go deep sea fishing with my buddies a few times a year. My wife of 36 years and I really enjoy travelling and seeing the world.. After attending Gerry Spence's Trial Lawyer's College I have really taken a different approach with connecting with my clients on a more personal level. I really care about people and want to help if I can. I enjoy what I do. I continue to strive to remain positive, and become a better person as well as a better trial lawyer.

I love being a lawyer.  I enjoy practicing law.  Advocacy is my passion.  Empathy is both my greatest strength and weakness.  My emotions are generally tempered by logic and I take an objective approach to assessing cases and advocating within them for the simple fact that I hate to lose.  I hate to lose because I take every one of my cases home with me.  I keep every one of my clients in my head, heart, and prayers.  I have handled extremely complicated and contentious divorces, custody disputes, restraining order hearings, criminal matters, lawsuits, and bankruptcies.  I have squared off against the biggest firms, banks, and the government, in an effort to bring balance to our system.  I have won sometimes and have lost sometimes, but I have always done my best.  That's the most I can and will ever promise, my best and nothing less.  I do not always take the gentlest approach, but I get the job done.

Attorney James Bader practices workers compensation law throughout Southern California in his Pomona law office.
