I have been defending people accused of crimes for over a decade. As a former Prosecutor in Kitsap and Jefferson County, I know how the State approaches a charge. I have have an excellent working relationship with the Prosecutors Office and my fellow attorneys in Jefferson County. I graduated in 1997 from Gonzaga School of Law, where I served as an Associate Editor of the Gonzaga Law Review.  My practice includes civil litigation and criminal defense. Over the past 25 years, I've appeared in state and federal courts all over the State of Washington. After about 100 jury trials, I'm comfortable in a courtoom.. After growing up in New Hampshire, I attended college in Montreal and graduated from Seattle University School of Law in 2012. Never one to settle down for too long, I have lived in five states, the District of Columbia, and three other countries. For the time being, though, I feel immensely lucky to call Port Townsend my home.While I absolutely love to argue in (and out of) court, I am most passionate about working with clients. A lawyer has to be able to explain the legal system, to understand a client's goals, and to approach each problem with the client's interests at the forefront. This is a service industry, and I am proud of my ability to connect with the people I serve.My first love is criminal defense, but I am also available to help people with family law and landlord-tenant issues.
