I represent unions in labor law matters.  I also represent individuals in all types of employment-related matters, from drafting employment contracts to litigation.  In addition to my employment practice, I represent professionals (and in particular medical professionals) before licensing boards and commissions in both Oregon and Washington.. I am a deeply committed advocate for my clients and enjoy assisting them with their legal matters, whether it be through contract drafting, negotiation, or litigation.  I am also committed to serving my community and serve and have served on a variety of bar-related and legal organizations and as a volunteer in my community.

I have lived in the Pacific Northwest for the last 20+ years and I love it here. Although I call Oregon home, I remain an avid and loyal Green Bay Packer fan. I enjoy spending time with my daughter and watching her grow into an independent, smart little girl. I have been fortunate enough to have travelled to Mexico several times, Belize and a day trip into Guatemala to see the Mayan ruins at Tikal.. I have been fortunate enough to have Tara Narkon as my Legal Assistant/ Paralegal/Office Manager and more since June 2003.  She helps keep the office flowing and is a great help to me and my clients.. Erin was born in Olympia, WA and attended The Evergreen State College for her undergraduate degree. She moved to Portland in 1998 and earned her MBA at Portland State University and her law degree at Lewis & Clark Law School.. Erin is primarily a probate and probate litigation attorney. She also helps client with estate planning, appeals, and legal malpractice. Additionally, she helps clients collect money awards of all kinds, including spousal and child support. Erin has a calm demeanor with clients and is able to counsel and help her clients work through difficult situations.. Erin has tried many cases in front of both judges and juries and has hundreds of court appearances under her belt. She enjoys being in court and is not afraid to take a case to trial if the opposing party refuses to provide her clients with a good result.. Erin worked at the Multnomah County District Attorney’s Office in law school and picked up extensive experience in criminal law. After graduating from law school, Erin worked in her own practice before joining the small firm of Case & Dusterhoff. She worked at Case & Dusterhoff for over 12 years, learning from her colleagues and figuring out what she was truly passionate about in the practice of law.. Erin studied math and science in college and appreciates the rules that are the backbone of our legal system. She also believes in the Oxford comma. She serves as a board member on the Citizen Review Board in Washington County, helping to ensure that children in foster care receive the services they are entitled to receive from the state. She also serves on the Oregon State Bar Disciplinary Board in Washington County.. In her spare time, Erin enjoys sewing clothing and historical costumes. She has an extensive vintage sewing pattern collection and way too many vintage sewing machines. She also sings in rock bands, occasionally performing around town. Her favorite city in the world is Paris and she looks forward to the day when she and her husband, Ryan, can introduce the city to their teenagers, Jon and Taylor.

Bronson James is a Portland native who received his bachelors degree from Reed College, and his J.D. cum laude from Lewis and Clark Law School. From 2005-2010 he served as Chief Deputy Defender for the Oregon Office of Public Defense Services Appellate Division. He has represented hundreds of persons before the Oregon Court of Appeals or the Oregon Supreme Court. He is a leading practitioner in the area of parole and probation law, and has served on the Governor's Advisory Group to the Oregon Board of Parole, as well as testified numerous times on parole legislation before the Oregon House and Senate. He currently serves on the Oregon Disciplinary Board, and is a past member of the Oregon Criminal Jury Instruction Committee, and past editor of the Journal of Computer and Internet Litigation published by the American Bar Association. He is a frequent speaker on criminal appellate matters.

As a native Oregonian I truly understand and appreciate the area in which my clients live and work.. My practice is primarily comprised of representing parents or children in cases where the State removes a child from his or her parents care.  In this area, an attorney must be able to work with parents, other attorneys as well as Department of Human Services caseworkers.  I often state that my job in this area is half lawyering and half social work.  In this area, I have been able to reach positive outcomes for the majority of my clients which include dismissal in the early stages of the case, a quick return home of the child if the State felt that a removal from the parents' care was necessary or fighting the strong arm of the State.. In addition to my work in juvenile law, I also practice in the areas of family law, criminal defense and adoptions.. Regardless of the reason why I represent you, I am dedicated to providing competent, compassionate, and zealous advocacy on your behalf.. Outside of the practice of law, I am a novice gardner, a prolific knitter and a proud dog owner.
