Yunus graduated from George Washington University where he earned his B.A. in Economics with a minor in Political Science. He went on to attend Lewis and Clark Law School, in Portland, Oregon, graduating with a J.D. in 1999. After assisting criminal clients as a public defender, he started his private law practice in 2003 and has since won countless jury trials and settlements for his clients.. In 2010, Yunus accepted Islam and began to focus his skills on helping the Muslim community with their legal needs. Yunus speaks Japanese fluently and conversational Oromo (Horn of Africa language). Triston’s favorite thing about Portland is the entrepreneurial spirit. “If you have an idea to do something quirky,” he says, “chances are you can find someone else that wants to do that too.”. If he were to live in a different era, Triston would choose either the 1940s/50s for the music and style of gentlemen, or 300 years into the future.. Triston cites his parents as his biggest inspiration. “Without fear, without hesitation, and without complaint they did the impossible to make sure my siblings and I are where we are today,” he explains. “Whenever things got tough, whether that be midterms, a football game or track meet in HS, a tough personal situation, or the Bar Exam, I would always hear them say ‘you’re a Dallas’ as if to tell me I have everything I need to succeed. They weren’t wrong.”

Eric is a civil litigator and trial lawyer.  He has taken over 75 cases to jury trial, along with hundreds of court trials, motion hearings and other court appearances.  Prior to joining GSW, he worked in the Multnomah County District Attorney's Office and for the in-house law offices of Farmers Insurance, where he learned to effectively resolve cases in the interest of his client.. Eric grew up in a small town in the Black Hills of South Dakota, where he learned his down-to-earth sensibility.  After earning a degree in Government from Augustana College, he moved to Washington, DC, where he helped launch and implement AmeriCorps, which involved traveling around the country to provide oversight and assistance to local AmeriCorps programs.  When his travels brought him to the Pacific Northwest, he knew immediately that he wanted to make Portland his home.. Having a strong commitment to public service, Eric has held numerous leadership positions with the Multnomah Bar Association, including President of the Young Lawyer Section and Chair of the Pro Bono Pledge Task Force. He has received the MBA's Award of Merit, as well as the Pro Bono Award. Additionally, he served as secretary of the Oregon State Bar's Judicial Administration Committee.. Eric's highest priority is being a father.  When not at the office, you are likely to find Eric with his son hiking, biking, skiing, bowling or watching sports with his son.
