He has been out in the forefront of CMBS 2.0 and has been active in the development and negotiation of form loan documents for CMBS lenders. His experience extends to the workout, restructuring, and foreclosures of both securitized and portfolio commercial mortgage loans, and he has extensive experience working with special servicers.. Pete is a member of the American Bar Association and the Risk Management Association. He has written extensively on the FDIC and real estate loan workouts and foreclosures.

Ed Herman’s law practice focuses on foreclosure and residential real estate.  Before going to law school, Ed was a residential realtor.  Ed is a veteran of the U.S. Army, where he interrogated Taliban and Al-Qaeda fighters in Afghanistan.  He was awarded the Army Commendation Medal for his service.  He is a graduate of Cleveland-Marshall College of Law, magna cum laude, Fordham University, and St. Ignatius High School.  Ed lives in Bay Village with his two daughters and his wife, Mindy Herman, who is his executive assistant.
