She graduated summa cum laude with a Bachelor of Arts degree in History from Monmouth University in 2009. At Monmouth University, she was a founding member of the Debate Hawks Policy Debate Team. She completed her Juris Doctorate degree in 2013 at Seton Hall University School of Law. During law school, she gained invaluable experience while working for the Jersey City Corporation Counsel. Upon graduating from law school, she clerked for the Honorable Dennis R. Justin L. John E. Keefe, Jr. is the former president of the New Jersey State Bar Association.
