Stephen C. Jones. Jones Elder Law, LLC. Stephen focuses his practice on protecting the assets that families have worked a lifetime to accumulate. After watching his grandparents battle through the Alzheimer’s disease progression, he understands first hand the type of financial devastation that lays in wait for the unprepared. For this reason, he has made it his personal mission to make sure his clients are educated and prepared to take the steps necessary to protect their life’s work.. “No one should have to suffer through the loss of their family business and life savings like my grandparents as a result of an illness, a regressive tax system or frivolous litigation.”. Stephen works closely with individuals and their families to protect their life savings and businesses from such risks as long term care costs, increasing income and estate taxes, and litigation.. “My favorite moment during a vision meeting with a client and their family is when they understand that they have options that will allow them to continue living their lives with the dignity that they have earned, while at the same time protecting their hard work. Education and a message of hope are the two most powerful things we share with our potential clients”. Stephen’s life experiences have positioned him to guide his client’s through the asset protection process. Prior to founding Jones Elder Law, LLC, he worked for several years in a large St. Louis practice where he worked intimately with high net worth individuals ($10 million plus net worth) to design and implement plans to minimize their tax exposure and business risk.. “I loved working with these clients and learning the cutting edge legal techniques that would help our clients. At the end of the day, however, the clients I worked with were through someone else’s relationship. What I was missing was the ability to forge the close bond between a client and one of their trusted advisors. At Jones Elder Law. LLC form part of a team with their tax and financial advisors. We are not just advising a client but we are helping guide a friend and family that we care about.”. At Jones Elder Law you are not just another case in the door, you are an individual person, with a unique set of needs. Stephen takes the time to listen and get all the details of your personal situation. What are your goals? What are your concerns?. “Jones Elder Law develops an individual plan for every client’s situation. We are not talking about the type of planning where every client that walks in the door gets a Living Trust just like the last five clients did.”. The level of planning that Jones Elder Law engages in with our client’s cannot be done in a vacuum. As a result, Stephen also engages your tax advisor and your financial advisor so that your entire team is working in unison to develop the best strategy to achieve your goals. The proper plan for a family must include input from the legal advisor, financial advisor and tax advisor. That is what Jones Elder Law calls the Trusted Advisor Team.. “I cannot encourage folks enough to reach out to us and learn about your options as individuals or perhaps as an existing trusted advisors that may have a client in need. I learn something nearly every day from my clients and their existing trusted advisors. It is my pleasure to sit down with families and their advisory team and discuss their concerns and what solutions Jones Elder Law, LLC may be able to bring to the table.. Stephen’s education has positioned him perfectly to offer his clients this type of counseling. He attended St. Louis University School of Law earning his Juris Doctorate (Magna Cum Laude) while graduating fifth in his class. Prior to that Stephen attended the Kellogg School of Business at Northwestern University where he was awarded an Advanced Corporate Financial Strategies Certificate. Stephen also received a Master of Business Administration (with highest honors) from the University of West Virginia. His education background makes him eminently qualified to help families plan their financial future and survive periods of financial crisis. Stephen is a member of the National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys, Wealth Counsel, Elder Counsel, Task Force for Senior Fairness, and numerous other legal associations.. Stephen enjoys spending time at the ice rink watching his two boys play hockey, and his daughter figure skate. When not at the rink, or in the office, he enjoys a nice round of golf on a sunny day. Stephen notes that he is miserable while jogging but he does it anyway.

My mission as a Bankruptcy Attorney is to provide my clients with personal and individualized attention. Too often, attorneys view their clients as a "case" rather than a person going through a difficult situation. Bankruptcy Solo, LLC was founded on the principle of providing people with a fresh start and relieving them from the burden of debt. As such, I only practice bankruptcy which allows me to give my clients the attention they deserve. In addition to my work as an attorney, I have also worked for the Missouri Department of Social Services in both the Division of Family Services and the Division of Child Enforcement. I also worked as an Officer for the Missouri Department of Corrections - Probation and Parole. On a personal note, I enjoy spending time with my husband and son as well as biking, gardening and reading. I am also a volunteer for Five Acres Animal Shelter, the Lupus Foundation of America and Harvester Christian Church.
I practice chapter 7 and chapter 13 bankruptcy law. Try to stay up to date with newest technology, and improve our office procedure to make the whole process easy for our clients.
I have been a licensed Missouri Attorney since 2009. I grew up in Northern Arkansas. I am the oldest of four children. My entire family still resides in Arkansas. My younger brother Jason is a disabled US Army Veteran, who served in the Army 82nd Airborne in the Iraq War. He lives in Northern Arkansas. My sister, Elizabeth, is a mother of four children and resides in Conway Arkansas with her family. It may be surprising, but I also have a younger brother that is only 20 years old; Josh, builds custom boats in Mountain Home, Arkansas. My mother, Susan resides in Ash Flat Arkansas with her husband, Bryan, and their two dogs. My grandparents, Lester and Wilma, live across the Street from my mom. When I was a kid, my Grandparents owned and operated one of the largest Restaurants in that part of Northern Arkansas until they sold it to retire.. I lived in Arkansas until early 2000’s, when I moved to St. Louis with my daughter, Faith, to attend Washington University. I obtained a degree in History at Washington University and then my Law Degree from St. Louis University. During my college years, I raised my daughter as a single parent. I was fortunate enough to meet wonderful friends during my time in St. Louis, which helped me tremendously in managing the stresses of college life and being a single mom. In addition, to the friend support system, I was lucky to have had the benefit of aid such as food stamps and housing assistance to get me through the tough times.. I graduated law school in 2008. I was working at a small law firm in St. Louis, Missouri when I graduated law school. During my time with this firm I worked on Criminal, Civil, Traffic, and some family law matters. I remained working for the firm until I was offered a position as an Assistant Prosecuting Attorney for Phelps County, Missouri (Rolla, MO) in the Fall of 2009. I decided to leave the St. Louis firm to obtain “real courtroom/trial experience” as a prosecutor. I remained with the Phelps County Prosecutor’s office until the end of December 2011. At this time, I moved to the St. Charles area to teach at a local college, and was immediately offered a job with a busy Bankruptcy Law Firm in downtown St. Louis. I remained with that law firm for three and half years. During this time, I represented 1,000s of Chapter 13 and Chapter 7 Bankruptcy Clients in both Missouri and Illinois. In September of 2013, I decided to take all of my legal experience and practice law “my way.”. I decided to try and operate as a lawyer in a way that would fix all of the problems I have seen with other lawyers. I want to offer as much real help as I can. Currently my primary practice is Bankruptcy, this is not because I do not know how to practice other law, but because this is the area of law that I feel can most immediately affect a person’s life in a positive way. I want to take a hands-on approach with all my cases. I want to know about your life and your family. I want to know how to make your life better. I cannot fix everything, but I can give you a straight forward honest answer when asked.. I did not become an attorney because I wanted to get rich. I grew up in a simple Arkansas family. My family has never been well off, in fact we were not even middle class. I learned the value of hard work and sacrifice. I know what it feels like to ask for help. It was not so long ago that I was going to the grocery store and using an EBT card. I had to visit the Department of Family Services and get help with medical bills and rent. I know what it is like to hope that the next person you see can make your day just little bit better. It is my personal struggles that make me a good attorney. I will never forget that people are what matter. I have been given an opportunity to help make your life better, even if Bankruptcy is not what you need. I can help you on almost any issue, and if I cannot do it, I will refer you to someone who can! Please let me use my personal experiences to give you a better tomorrow.
I am the sole partner and shareholder of Ryan R. Cox & Associates which I founded in 2006 to provide zealous and compassionate legal representation for injury victims and their families. I became a trial lawyer because I care about people and am driven each day to make peoples' lives better.
Estate Planning, Elder Law, Business Planning, Estate Administration. I take to heart the title “Counselor at Law” and serve that purpose for all my clients on every case. Many people come to me because they are in a difficult and scary situation. It is hard for them to see the entire situation. It is hard to weed through the stress to get to the heart of the problem. Hence, they are looking for more than an attorney that will draft paperwork and try the case. They are looking for someone who will take the time to explain the situation. This is why I serve as a “counselor at law” as well as an “attorney at law”. Serving in this role provides both the best outcome for my client and becomes the most enjoyable part of my day..
