Firm: Suhreptz Consumer Law, LLC

My name is Bethany Suhreptz. I started Suhreptz Consumer Law to follow my passion for helping people who have fallen on hard times. I have personal experience with being in debt and struggling to find a way out. I promise to fight for your rights and to help you find the best way forward while providing compassionate and responsible assistance.. I am originally from Sioux Falls, South Dakota. While in high school I worked with one of the busiest bankruptcy attorneys in the state, Randall B. Blake. I graduated from West Lyon High School in Inwood, Iowa, in 2000.. I attended the University of Minnesota from 2000 to 2004 and earned a degree in Philosophy. During the 2001 school year, I studied abroad at the University of Essex in Colchester, England, and fell in love with all things British.. In 2009 I graduated from William Mitchell College of Law. While at William Mitchell I focused on bankruptcy and consumer law courses and was a staff member on the William Mitchell Law Review. My article, Key Employee Retention Plans, Executive Compensation, and BAPCPA: No Rest for Congress, No More for Execs, was published in the William Mitchell Law Review Volume 35.. Throughout college and law school I worked in the legal field. I was a case assistant and legal secretary at a small firm focusing on highly complex asbestos insurance coverage litigation. I also worked as a legal secretary for four years at one of Minnesota's biggest and oldest law firms. My work as a secretary makes me uniquely qualified to handle the day-to-day work of lawyering.. Since becoming a licensed attorney I have handled both Chapter 13 and Chapter 7 bankruptcies in Minnesota. I also worked with the busiest bankruptcy attorney in South Dakota for over a year and represented clients at 341 hearings in front of bankruptcy trustees. I have also appeared at eviction matters and in federal court in foreclosure defense lawsuits.. Outside of work I enjoy reading, dancing, and going to as many live music shows as possible. I am also a former volunteer with A Rotta Love Plus, a rescue organization that fosters and re-homes rottweilers and pit bulls.
