In her position, Shannon helped individuals with a wide variety of immigration issues related to family-based and employment-based visas.. Shannon has worked as an attorney, and a public servant, for over fourteen years. Immediately following law school, Shannon served for four years on active duty in the United States Navy JAG Corps as a prosecutor and defense counsel. She continues to serve as a reservist, currently working as an appellate defense attorney. After she left active duty, Shannon pursued a career in public service as an attorney for the U.S. government, to include working for the Department of Defense and the Department of Justice..
