Charles' restaurant experience comes in handy when he serves as a line cook at the annual Lower East Avenues Neighborhood Breakfast. In his spare time, he can be found fixing something around the house, spending time with his family, or somewhat obsessively cheering on Real Salt Lake. Charles also enjoys softball and running slowly.

Jared focuses his practice on patent prosecution and intellectual property litigation.  For the past 13 years, Jared has worked in various capacities with clients to develop and protect their intellectual property rights.  During that time, Jared has assisted his clients in developing, managing, and exploiting patent portfolios; preparing and prosecuting patent applications for complex electronics and computer inventions; and litigating intellectual property disputes involving patents, trademarks, and trade secrets.  Jared has represented his clients in proceedings before the Federal Circuit Court of Appeals, District Courts throughout the country, and in proceedings before the United States Patent and Trademark Office.  Prior to becoming an attorney, Jared worked as a paralegal for four years while completing his undergraduate degree and worked for two years as a patent agent while completing his law degree.

Quinney College of Law in 2019, where I served as Executive Footnote Editor of the Utah Law Review as well as the Vice President of the Student Intellectual Property Law Association. I was a Biolaw Fellow for two years and earned the CALI Excellence for the Future Award in Constitutional Law. I was also a member of the 2019 moot court team that won state and was a regional semifinalist for the Giles Sutherland Rich Moot Court Competition, receiving team and individual awards for legal brief writing and oration. During my time in law school, I also interned for the Honorable Justice Constandinos Himonas of the Utah Supreme Court, gaining an invaluable understanding of the judicial process.
