Los Angeles native Richard A. Granowitz received his Bachelor of Arts degree cum laude from UCLA in 1974. He went on to earn his Juris Doctor cum laude from the University of San Diego School of Law in 1977, and was admitted to the California Bar the same year. During law school, he served as a judicial extern for the California Court of Appeal, Fourth District, Division One. I have been practicing Family Law for over 20 years and have been published in two major appellate cases concerning Family Law issues.  My expertise in Family Law is well documented.. I am well versed in all aspects of Family Law.  I continue to lecture on Family Law issues to fellow colleges as well as mentoring several attorneys.. I have also been actively involved in Sacramento concerning Family Law issues.  I was on the committee that wrote the current Family Code concerning drug abuse and children in Family Court.. I have lobbied on issues of child support, spousal support, custody, and domestic violence issues in Sacramento.. My goal has always been to protect our children so they grow up to be the best they can be.  That can only happen by reforming our current Family Law Courts.
