My father was a doctor and my mother a nurse. My parents just celebrated their 53rd wedding anniversary. I moved to Arizona in 1996, met a beautiful woman from Chicago Illinois and was married in 1998. We recently celebrated our 16th wedding anniversary. I am the father of two wonderful teenage children. My son plays high school football and my beautiful daughter plays high school and club volleyball. Both are excellant students. Of all that I have accomplished in life I am the most proud of my wife and my children. I am also the proud uncle of 25 nieces and nephews. They are all great kids and I am proud of each and everyone of them. When not working I enjoy motocross and quad riding, fishing, hiking, bodybuilding (working out), biking and reading. Our home is filled with pets (2 dogs and 4 cats) and they each are a joy to spend time with. Arizona is a beautiful state with many interesting places to visit. My family enjoys trips to Sedona, Flagstaff and Rocky Point, Mexico. I have been blessed throughout my life with a wonderful family and many close friends. Mr. Hanson was admitted to practice in 1997 in Arizona and the U.S. District Court of Arizona. He has practiced exclusively as a trial attorney appearing in thousands of cases across the state in administrative agency proceedings, arbitrations, bench trials, and multi-day jury trials in a variety of family, civil, and criminal proceedings.. Mr. Hanson is and has formerly been a member of the State Bar of Arizona’s Family Law, Trial Practice, and Criminal Practice sections as well as the Arizona Trial Lawyers Association, the National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers, and the American Bar Association. Mr. Hanson graduated from Arizona State University College of Law in 1997 in the top one-third of his class. While a law student, Mr. Hanson was published in and served as an Editor on the Arizona State Law Journal. Additionally, during law school, he directed the Homeless Legal Assistance Project, a multiple-site, low-income legal clinic, and received the Dean’s Award for service to the law school. Jon L. Phelps is an Arizona native and was raised in the Phoenix area. He is a magna cum laude graduate of the Sandra Day O’Connor College of Law, Arizona State University. While in law school, Jon was a four time Pedrick Scholar and was a Production Editor for Jurimetrics, The Journal of Law, Science, and Technology. Based upon his academic performance in law school, he became a member of the Order of the Coif, an honor society recognizing law students at select law schools who graduate in the top 10 percent of the class.. After graduation from law school, an article he wrote was published in Jurimetrics. An earlier version of the same article was selected as the Sandra Day O’Connor College of Law’s first prize winner of the Nathan Burke Memorial Competition sponsored by the American Society of Composers, Authors and Publishers.. Jon worked in a mid-sized law firm upon graduation from law school for over three years, working primarily on business litigation, personal injury, bankruptcy, and medical malpractice cases. Douglas came from New Jersey in 1978 to attend Arizona State University.  Since being admitted to the Arizona State Bar in 1987, Douglas has focused his practice on creditor’s rights, real estate, business/corporate law, civil rights and probate.  During his free time he enjoys spending time with his family, bicycling, and traveling.

Alona M. Gottfried is an attorney, mediator and conflict resolution trainer in Arizona. Alona, a native of Arizona, obtained her bachelor’s degree in psychology from Arizona State University (1992; Summa Cum Laude) and her law degree from the College of Law at Arizona State University (1995; Cum Laude).
