Kaitlin Simone DiMaggio is a graduate of the Sandra Day O'Connor College of Law. She went to law school so she could represent a close family member after he was unjustly sentenced to life in prison without the chance of parole. Her involvement in his case drives her passion to help others who are enmeshed in the legal system.. During her time in law school, Kaitlin worked over 350 hours of pro bono service working on the post-conviction cases of men and women who experienced a manifest injustice or who claimed innocence. She also holds a Master of Counseling degree from Arizona State University, and maintains her license to practice therapy.. Before earning her law degree, Kaitlin practiced as a licensed therapist. She worked at a court-mandated counseling agency running group and individual therapy sessions for those convicted of domestic violence and drug-related offenses, later becoming the Clinical Supervisor of an offender treatment program and a Program Manager for a government contract. Kaitlin is an advocate for criminal justice reform and is passionate about helping clients who are enmeshed in the legal system.. Kaitlin has experience working on criminal cases involving domestic violence, sex-related offenses, DUI’s, and more. Additionally, she has worked on numerous post-conviction cases and parole hearings. Simone is also a zealous advocate for clients in family court, and has worked on cases involving custody disputes, divorce, and child support.. Kaitlin is admitted to practice law by the State Bar of Arizona. She is a member of the American Bar Association, the Arizona Attorneys for Criminal Justice, the Criminal Justice Reform Team of the Arizona Faith Network, and the Healthy Families Arizona Advisory Board.

Justin has been passionate about Family Law far before graduating Law School in 2015. Coming from a background as a private investigator, Justin understands the challenges of divorce litigation, and aggressively works to protect the rights of his clients.. As a Scottsdale Divorce Lawyer, Justin focuses in paternity rights, divorce litigation, modification of court orders, child support, and other areas of family law. He is particularly passionate about protecting and establishing Father’s Rights to ensure his clients’ can receive the precious time that they deserve with their children.

John L. Lohr, Jr. primary practice areas consist of Real Estate Law, Construction Law, Commercial Litigation, Trademarks and Bankruptcy Law-Creditors’ Rights.. Mr. Lohr is an experienced trial attorney and litigator. In a recent complex litigation involving a commercial eviction, condemnation and breach of contract, he successfully defeated the condemning entity’s claims before the trial court and obtained a Court order evicting the condemning entity from his client’s property.  Mr. Lohr won the subsequent appeal.  In all, he succeeded in obtaining judgments for his client for nearly a quarter of a million dollars.. Mr. Lohr represents lenders in non-judicial and judicial foreclosures and represents both lenders and borrowers in subsequent deficiency lawsuits.  Mr. Lohr advises property owners and lenders on their rights in foreclosures, short sales and loan modifications.. Mr. Lohr was admitted to practice law in Arizona in 1999 and is admitted to practice in the U.S. District Court for the District of Arizona.  He is a member of the State Bar of Arizona and its Real Estate and Construction Law Sections.  Mr. Lohr successfully completed the Arizona College of Trial Advocacy; is a participant in the State Bar of Arizona’s Volunteer Lawyers Program; was appointed as a Judge Pro Tem through the Maricopa County Superior Court.

JAMES R. SCHMILLEN, an Arizona native, obtained his Bachelor of Science degree, magna cum laude, from the University of Arizona in 1998, with a double major in Accounting and Finance.  While at the University of Arizona, Jim was named to the Dean’s List, was a member of the University of Arizona Honors Program, and served as a Teaching Assistant for multiple tax law courses.  He received his J.D. in 2001 from the Arizona State University College of Law, graduating cum laude.  During law school, Jim was a Pedrick Scholar, recipient of the CALI Award for Academic Excellence, and earned Honors in Legal Method and Writing.  Jim was also a Legal Method and Writing Teaching Assistant and a member of the Arizona State Law Journal.  Jim was honored with the Arizona State University College of Law Pro Bono Distinction for his service as President of the Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) Program, assisting in the preparation of hundreds of tax returns for low income taxpayers.. Jim began practicing law at a complex commercial litigation law firm in 1998.   After three years in private practice, Jim took a position as in-house counsel and executive for a private, family owned group of companies that employed up to 2,200 individuals and provided construction related products and services throughout Arizona and Nevada.  While serving in this position, Jim held a leadership role as well as having responsibility for all aspects of corporate representation.  Jim was able to practice family law on a pro bono basis, helping individuals that could not afford representation.  After serving in this role for nearly seven years, Jim had the opportunity to pursue his dream of opening his own law firm in 2011.  Jim primarily focuses his practice on family law and civil litigation.  Jim is a regular volunteer with Family Legal Assistance Program (FLAP) and was awarded Attorney of the Month for February 2015 through the Volunteer Lawyers Program and designated as a 2015 Top Pro Bono Attorney in Arizona by the Arizona Foundation for Legal Services & Education. Jim was elected to the Board of Directors for the Maricopa County Bar Association Family Law Section in 2016.. Aside from his professional endeavors, Jim enjoys being active and spends his free time doing anything that involves being outdoors – including golfing, scuba diving, snow skiing/snowboarding, hiking, trail riding, boating, camping, fishing and travelling.
