After being admitted to the Washington State bar in 1992, I began a solo practice, which I continued until joining Beresford Booth in 2003. I am now the chair of our Estate Planning & Probate Group.. I balance the legal, practical, and ethical considerations of every legal matter to ensure that my clients' needs are met in a timely and cost effective way. My transactional and litigation experience allows me to bring a seasoned perspective to every deal and dispute. I serve a variety of clients; from individuals to privately held business organizations of all types and pride myself on being able to translate complex legal issues into everyday language.. I have had the privilege of speaking to a variety of professional organizations and community groups, including realtor associations and at senior community centers. I have also served for a number of years as a volunteer with the King County Debt Clinic, providing much needed legal assistance to those who cannot afford to consult with private counsel.. I was raised in Edmonds and graduated from Edmonds High School in 1982. I continue to live in Edmonds with my wife Cindy and two boys, Seth and Benjamin. I am active at my church, where I have served as Treasurer for five years, and also volunteer as a Special Olympics basketball coach.. As for my personal interests, I enjoy spending time with my family and outdoor activities such as camping, cycling, and golf. Additionally, I have played softball in a local community league since 1986, and enjoy curling at the Granite Curling Club of Seattle.
