Mr. Carlson has practiced law since 1987, first as a litigation partner in the 200 lawyer firm of Bogle & Gates, and then for ten years at the international law firm of Dorsey & Whitney in the patent litigation group.  He is currently Of-Counsel at Hagens Berman Sobol Shapiro LLP.  His practice focuses on the juncture of law and technology, including patent, trademark, copyright, trade dress, trade secret, employment non-compete/non-disclosure, interferences before the USPTO, appeals to the Federal Circuit, and patent non-infringement/invalidity opinions.  Mr. Carlson has handled negotiations, mediations, arbitrations, and trials and appeals in both state and federal courts throughout the United States.
