I am originally from Puerto Rico and speak fluent Spanish. After High School I attented Tufts Univerity in the Boston Area of Massachusetts where I studied International Relations. After University I worked at a boutique Immigration Law firm where i learned the importance of treating our clients like I would like to be treated myself. I came to minnesota for my legal education where i Aattended the University of Minnesota Law School. I met my wife while here and we and our dog live in Minneapolis, where we enjoy outdoor activities and spending time with our family.

This year i watched my son graduate high school and matriculate to the University of South Carolina. I watched my daughter graduate pre-school and start kindergarten. Our family loves to travel and spend time outside in both the summer and winter here in Minnesota.. Professionally Batchelor Law Firm, P.A. added a new law clerk, Hamline Law School graduate Amanda Palecek. We are excited to have her bring fresh energy and perspecitve to our growing practice.  We have two cases currently before the Minnesota Supreme Court and we are looking forward to the challenges of work in both the Minnesota State District Courts and at the Office of Adminstrative Hearings.. Joe Osterbauer was born and raised in Minneapolis, Minnesota.  He attended Benilde-St. Margaret’s High School, St. John’s University in Collegeville, Minnesota, and received his law degree in 1990 from the William Mitchell College of Law.  While going to law school, Mr. Osterbauer clerked at the Cody Law Firm in St. Paul.  Upon graduation, Mr. Osterbauer worked with the Taylor Law Firm in Minneapolis for a year and a half.  He then founded the Osterbauer Law Firm in the summer of 1992.  He is married to Michelle Osterbauer, who is also an attorney.  He has four children.  Mr. Osterbauer practices in the areas of workers’ compensation and personal injury.
