After living and practicing law in Alaska for more than twenty years, I moved to California. I am working for G. John Jansen and Associates doing Worker's Compensation as a hearing representative.  I continue to maintain a small Alaska caseload and return to Alaska every 3-4 months though I am not doing as much criminal law anymore.  I am still a zealous advocate. I continue to pride myself on client satisfaction.  If I am given the honor of representing you in your legal issue, I will use all of my skills and experience to advocate for you to the very best of my abilities.  I will obtain the best outcome I possibly can, and I promise to make sure that you understand what's happening in your case every step of the way.. I have been an attorney for over 20 years.  I started in 1997 with the Office of Special Prosecutions and Appeals & transferred from there to the Anchorage District Attorney’s Office.  I worked there for 10 years prosecuting every conceivable kind of criminal case from a juvenile matricide/sexual assault to various misdemeanors and everything in between. I have trained young attorneys, taught at law enforcement academies, including the Anchorage Police Department’s Academy and the Trooper Academy, and taught criminalists from the state’s Scientific Crime Detection Laboratory.. In 2006, I served as Acting-Director of the Office of Victims Rights. In 2007, I was appointed to be the Anchorage District Attorney. In 2008, I began working with the Office of Public Advocacy representing indigent clients in criminal, juvenile and children’s cases.  I enjoyed representing people. In 2010 I opened my own law office, where I had the privilege of providing legal representation to Alaskans of diverse socio-economic backgrounds on a variety of legal issues.  I also continued to take cases from the Office of Public Advocacy.  Now that I have moved, I assist injured California workers get the just compensation they deserve, and I maintain a select number of Alaska cases.
