There, she drafted briefs and articles for inclusion in the California Physician’s Legal Handbook, and conducted legal research on topics ranging from eMedicine, the constitutionality of California’s CURES database, HIPAA, copyright and work-for-hire. While at CMA, Dana led a research project on patent trolls. As a result of her work, Dana and representatives from the CMA were invited to testify before the California State Assembly’s Select Committee on High Technology in Palo Alto.  In addition, she worked as a legal assistant for a Los Angeles boutique healthcare law firm. Dana provided trial support, including the design and preparation of trial exhibits, demonstratives, and witness binders.
