Through my work on aviation incidents and motor vehicle crashworthiness cases, I combine the technical aspects of each case with winning legal theories. I have experience in complex personal injury litigation, products liability, wrongful death and conflict of laws.

Steve has more than 35 years of experience in all modes of transportation and logistics. His practice also focuses on general commercial litigation before courts and administrative bodies across the U.S.  He counsels and represents local and national transportation service providers and consumers involved in a wide array of complex commercial disputes, and in the negotiation and documentation of transportation relationships.

I concentrate my practice on cross-border tax and business planning for U.S. and foreign entities. I work with clients to create efficient international investment structures from tax and legal perspectives. I counsel clients on all aspects of transactions, including formation, operation, exit strategies, mergers and acquisitions, financing and other business operations. My practice also includes tax aspects of aircraft ownership, transactions and financing.

I am a Member in the Seattle office of Williams Kastner.  As a trial attorney, I primarily handle commercial disputes and defend high-stakes product defect claims.  My product liability practice encompasses aviation, consumer products, and toxic torts.  I serve as national trial counsel for several clients in toxic tort litigation.  I also serve in an advising capacity for corporate clients seeking to develop nationwide strategies for the defense of mass-tort litigation.  As lead trial counsel, I have obtained defense verdicts in state courts and successfully argued for his clients before the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals and several of Washington’s appellate courts.  I am admitted to practice in California, Oregon and Washington.  I was named to the Rising Stars list by Washington Law & Politics magazine each year from 2001-2008.
