I am currently of counsel to Keller Rohrback L.L.P., having previously headed its commercial litigation group out of the Seattle office for two decades. (The firm also has offices in New York City; Phoenix; Oakland; Denver; Portland; Santa Barbara; and Missoula.)  My practice focuses on complex commercial litigation involving business disputes, including unfair competition, and real estate disputes.  I also have extensive experience litigating banking disputes, partnership disputes, and securities claims.  I have litigated since 1983 in state and federal trial and appellate courts in various states, and have experience resolving commerical, real estate, business, and securities disputes in a variety of arbitration forums and through mediation.

I am a Member in the Seattle office of Williams Kastner.  As a trial attorney, I primarily handle commercial disputes and defend high-stakes product defect claims.  My product liability practice encompasses aviation, consumer products, and toxic torts.  I serve as national trial counsel for several clients in toxic tort litigation.  I also serve in an advising capacity for corporate clients seeking to develop nationwide strategies for the defense of mass-tort litigation.  As lead trial counsel, I have obtained defense verdicts in state courts and successfully argued for his clients before the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals and several of Washington’s appellate courts.  I am admitted to practice in California, Oregon and Washington.  I was named to the Rising Stars list by Washington Law & Politics magazine each year from 2001-2008.

Gwendolyn Payton is a shareholder at Lane Powell PC, admitted to practice in Washington and Alaska. She is the chair of Lane Powell's Class Action practice group. She focuses her practice on complex commercial litigation, class actions, intellectual property, antitrust and trade litigation.
