I have been in practice for over 33 years. I have operated my own Law Firm for 31 of those 33 years. I have handled a wide variety of types of cases, however, currently I emphasis criminal law. I have been on many high profile Organized Crime RICO cases as well as cases involving the highest number of co-defendants in the country, 142. I've represented gang members and private individuals who found themselves in difficult situations & have strived to help them out of it to be able to go on with their lives. l was involved in the largest Child Pornography case in the country in Louisiana wherein my client was exposed to a 35 year mandatory minimum sentence, but received a sentence of 5 years. I have a broad range of experience involving the whole range of State & Federal criminal cases.
I have been a tireless advocate for criminal cases involving substance abuse and mental health issues for almost 25 years. I look forward to speaking with you directly about your criminal matter and offer a free consultation.
I graduated from the UCLA with a degree in philosophy and received my JD from the Sandra Day O'Connor College of Law at ASU. I have worked with tax law firms before moving onto becoming In-House Counsel for an adventure company in San Diego. Now I have opened up my own office to focus on businesses in need of total advocacy.. If you have any questions, call or email me directly.
I graduated from Loyola Law School in Los Angeles and have been a practicing attorney since 1991. Over half of my practice is devoted to estate planning, special needs trusts, conservatorships and elder care issues. I also have extensive experience representing neutral fiduciaries in contested matters. I have a passion for the disabled and disenfranchised, and I'm a dedicated to the caring and professional practice of law.
I graduated from Loyola Law School in 1995 and I have handled thousands of misdemeanor, felony, and juvenile cases. I have a proven track record of client satisfaction and winning the best results for my clients.
I began my career in criminal defense by being my Criminal Procedure professor's teaching assistant in law school. After graduating in 1997, I worked at an appellate firm in San Francisco while awaiting Bar results. At this firm, I worked on several appeals of clients facing the death penalty, and worked on the appeal for one of the Mendendez brothers. It was here I learned all about the appellate process, and loved it.. After passing the Bar (1st time), I went to the San Francisco Public Defender's Office as a certified/licensed intern, and started handling cases of my own. Before long I went to Humboldt County to work as a Deputy Public Defender, where I handled all manner of misdemeanors and felonies, in addition to juvenile and dependency cases. I then transferred to the Los Angeles County Public Defender's Office, where I had a near-100% acquittal rate. I loved this position, and thoroughly learned the process and procedure in Los Angeles County Courts (as an aside, I would advise hiring a lawyer who has been either a District Attorney or a Public Defender, without question. Lawyers who go straight into private practice, in my experience, do not sufficiently know "the ropes," if you will).. I went into private practice after a number of years, and worked for the firm of Trutanich-Michel, where I specialized in firearm-related matters in both state and federal court. I also wrote several writs and appeals, and was a panel member for an MCLE educational seminar. My section was "Firearms: possession, use and the law.". Since then, I have ran my own law firm, and handled all manner of cases in Los Angeles, Orange, Santa Barbara, San Bernadino and Riverside counties. I take cases to trial more than any other private lawyer I know. This is because I charge very reasonable and fair rates and, most importantly, begin preparing a case a case for trial right from the outset. It is by preparing a case for trial that you are able to get the most beneficial plea agreements for your client, as you are then able to systematically point out the weaknesses in the case to the prosecutor or, as often happens, get positive results by trying the case before a jury.. I handle all manner of criminal cases, everything from a DUI and DMV proceedings to Murder. I also have had the opportunity to take many family law matters in recent years, and am proficient in that area as well. I give free consultations to all clients, so give us a call whenever you or a loved one need assistance. We are here to help!
I became an attorney to stand up for those who cannot stand up for themselves. As a person born in the Islamic Republic of Iran, I saw how people would get arrested for nothing more than their religious beliefs. I saw those same people not have access to an attorney and the Court system. What I can provide to my clients is a promise that I will be their voice in the criminal justice system and do everything in my power to prevent them from being treated as just another case number, rather than a human being.
