My first job as an attorney was as a Family Advocate Attorney for five years at an agency called East Baltimore Development, Inc. When I formed the Stewart Law Office in 2011, I soon became attracted to assisting clients in their divorces. I then made it the primary focus of the firm.. I feel honored to have the privilege of being a divorce attorney because of my own personal experiences. I received my B.A. from Middlebury College in 1982 and my master’s degree in 1985. I went on to attend the University of Maryland School of Law, where I received my J.D. in 1989. I began my career in litigation early on in law school, successfully trying civil rights cases in the United States District Court for the District of Maryland.. My clerkships with the felony trial unit of the Baltimore City Office of the Public Defender and with the Law Offices of William H. Murphy Jr. gave me the experience I needed to start successfully trying serious criminal matters in both the district and circuit courts immediately after being admitted to the Maryland and District of Columbia Bars.. After serving as an assistant public defender in Baltimore for two years, I accepted a position with the Law Office of Roland Walker as a trial attorney handling both criminal and civil matters. In 1995, I was made partner.. Four years later, I began my own law firm, the Law Office of Gil S. Amaral. I have been successfully defending clients’ interests for the last 30 years and I continue to provide the high-quality representation and personal attention that my clients require. Fred Raab is a 1967 graduate of Archbishop Curley High School. He was President of his class at Loyola College and graduated in 1971 with a B.S. in Economics. He graduated from the University of Baltimore School of Law in 1976 and was admitted to the Maryland Bar in 1977. He is also a member of the D.C. Court of Appeals and was admitted to practice before the U.S. Supreme Court in 1981. Fred worked for the Social Security Administration from 1972 until 1984 as a disability claims authorizer, management intern and litigation analyst. Doug Sachse, a married father of 6, is a 1972 graduate of McDonogh School, and a 1976 cum laude graduate of the University of Pennsylvania. He obtained his Law Degree in 1979 after graduating with honors from the University Of Maryland School Of Law.. While at Penn, Doug played midfield for the Quaker lacrosse team. After entering the legal field, his interest in sports did not wane as he was the first to file suit against Robert Irsay and The Baltimore Colts the day after they surreptitiously snuck out of town under cover of darkness. Shortly thereafter, the City of Baltimore followed suit, and the end result was that many of the items of memorabilia from the Colts legendary years in Baltimore were preserved for the City.. David was born and raised in Baltimore.  He attended Calvert Hall College High School and Graduated from Towson University with a B.A. in International Studies.  After spending over 5 years as a Securities Analyst for a Fortune 500 Financial Firm, he attended the University of Baltimore School of Law.  During law school David was a student attorney for three semesters with the University's Family Law Clinic.  There, he argued cases for economically disadvantaged clients in the District Court, Circuit Court, and the Court of Special Appeals.  David also participated in a campaign to reform Maryland's Domestic Violence laws, and was part of a delegation that testified before the General Assembly to change those laws.  During his time in law school, David also interned for the Honorable Wanda Keyes Heard at the Circuit Court for Baltimore City and for a Towson Firm, Warnken, LLC.   After graduating with a Juris Doctor from Law School, David was selected to clerk for Special Master Andrea F. After high school, Mr. Melanson attended Towson University, where he earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Sociology and Anthropology. While attending Towson University, Mr. Melanson was a student-athlete for the Men’s Lacrosse team, and earned the Towson University Tiger Athletics Scholar Medallion and the Colonial Athletic Association Commissioner’s Academic Award. Mr. Melanson then attended the University of Baltimore School of Law, where he had the privilege of working as a student-attorney for the Innocence Project Clinic.
