Mr. Briones comes from a family of lawyers. His father, Felix Briones, Jr., has been practicing in Farmington, New Mexico for over 50 years. His brother, B. Paul Briones, is also an attorney in Farmington, and a part time Federal Magistrate Judge. Tom began his legal career in Farmington in 1993 with his father (Paul joined later). Tom was a general practitioner, representing mostly small businesses from contract creation to complex litigation. It was from his father, Felix, that Tom learned the importance of hard work, professionalism, ethics and integrity. Mr. Briones later moved back to Albuquerque in 1997, where he met, fell and in love and married his wife, Stephanie. He founded Briones Business Law Consulting, P.C., in July of 2011.
