I was born and raised in Oklahoma and have spent my entire career helping people across the country who have been treated unfairly. I work with my father, Patrick Carr, who started the lawfirm with his father in 1973. It has always been a family operated business. Our mission is to treat each cleitn and potential client with the utmost respect and hearing their story. Even if I do not have the expertise to help someone on a particular issue, I always try and refer the person to someone I believe can be of help.. My experience in the practice of law includes helping people who've been injured in a variety of different ways. I've helped people whose own insurance company isn't being fair. I've also helped people who have been injured by dangerously defective products, from defective vehicles to defective fireworks. Most of my clients have been injured in automobile collisions because of someone else's carelessness.
I was born and raised in Northeast Missouri in a small town of 450 people. I graduated with honors from Novinger High School while being a member of the basketball, baseball, track & field and academic teams. I went on to attend Hannibal-LaGrange University in Hannibal, Missouri, where I continued my basketball career. I graduated with honors and received a B.S. in Administration of Justice. After college, I attended the University of Tulsa’s College of Law, where I focused on criminal law and criminal procedure.. I currently do what I have always aspired to do, and I love nearly ever second of it. Practicing law is my passion, but when I am not doing so, I enjoy playing/watching basketball, as well as most all sports.
I understand what it is like to struggle. I grew up poor and I have worked for everything that I have. My father was a steel worker and my grandfather was a sharecropper. Growing up I wrestled, boxed, played football and baseball.. I am a veteran and served in the Navy. I worked my way through college washing dishes, delivering newspapers, delivering pizzas, repossessing cars, and bouncing in bars.. I'm married with two daughters. I work hard to give my daughters the opportunities that I never had.. I have had over 30 jury trials as lead counsel. I have tried cases in state and federal court. I continually work hard to improve my skills as a trial attorney. I attended Gerry Spence's Trial Lawyer college. I read trial practice books, psychology books, communication books; anything that will improve my trial skills.. Other than the law; I love cigars, baseball and photography. (In that order.)
I pride myself on my ability to be an effective advocate for my clients, both at the negotiation table and in the courtroom. Clients like me because I am straight-forward, personable and have the savvy and experience necessary to achieve results. I strive to keep my clients well-informed and provide the information they need to make smart decisions about their children, their money and their future.. At your initial consultation, I will educate you about your rights, responsibilities and options for proceeding. Every person's situtation is different, and no two divorces are the same. I want to know about you, your family and your particular legal objectives. You will be provided with comprehensive legal advice and counsel so you will understand what to expect and how to prepare.

I have been a solo practitioner in Tulsa for 30 years. I regularly teach Continuing Legal Education classes on the subject of ethics. My practice consists of representing lawyers who have disciplinary issues by helping them navigate through formal and informal grievances, disciplinary hearings, interim suspensions, reinstatements, and the effect mental health issues could have on their license to practice. I provide guidance to lawyers and law firms on the application of ethical rules to the day-to-day practice of law. I represent future lawyers in their character and fitness hearings before the Oklahoma Board of Bar Examiners.. In my spare time: I am a comedian that has performed at the Tulsa Loony Bin for the last few years, and I have won several local contests and have performed out of town gigs. I also make fine jewelry and have a design patent, D601,919 with the US Patent Office.
I hail from Webb City, a quaint town near Joplin, Missouri. My academic journey took me to the University of Arkansas where I completed my undergraduate studies before advancing to the University of Arkansas School of Law. After earning my degree, I relocated to Tulsa and started my law career in September 2010.. Initially, I joined a private law firm where my focus was on workers' compensation insurance defense. During this period, I honed my trial abilities, conducted hundreds of depositions, and became a proficient negotiator through extensive participation in mediations. In 2012, I transitioned to a role as in-house counsel for a prominent nationwide insurance company, where I defended general liability and workers' compensation cases.. Currently, my practice is dedicated to assisting individuals who have been injured—through no fault of their own—in obtaining the compensation they rightfully deserve.
I grew up in a small town in rural New Mexico. I attended Brigham Young University in Provo, Utah where I received a Bachelor’s Degree in Social Psychology. I then moved to Tulsa, Oklahoma to attend law school at the University of Tulsa College of Law.. I have a wife and four children. When I'm not battling at work to protect the rights and dignities of clients, I enjoy being at home with them. My hobbies and interests include raising backyard chickens, gardening and doing home improvement projects.. Having been preparing bankruptcy cases for the last 5 years, I have filed more than five hundred Chapter 7 cases to date. I enjoy the practice of bankruptcy because it allows me to truly help people at the time of their greatest financial need. My bankruptcy practice focuses on individual consumers with personal debt as well as small businesses needing to liquidate.. I also have a robust Social Security Disability practice where I have represented clients in close to one hundred Social Security hearings since I began practicing Social Security law. I have helped Social Security claimants get benefits who have both physical and mental disabilities. I enjoy this practice because it allows me to help those whose circumstances have rendered them unable to work. I'm an advocate for those who have spent their whole working lives paying into an insurance system (our Social Security Disability system) that has now denied them the benefit of that insurance at the time of their greatest need.. I also work with Personal Injury clients that have been injured, due to no fault of their own, and help them get the treatment and compensation they need and deserve.

I am proud to represent people who have been injured, wrongfully lost money or employment, a victim of a civil rights violation or charged with a criminal offense or DUI in Tulsa, Oklahoma. I have built my legal philosophy around the idea that all people should have an avenue to justice when injured or lost money due to the wringful act of another and that the criminal justice system only protects the right of citizens when people charged with crimes are afforded the representation necessary to zealously protect their rights and freedom. I have represented blue collar workers, business professionals, juveniles, friends and family members, those who have been injured, wrongfully lost employment or money and those charged with DUI, felonies and misdemeanors ranging from drug offenses to assault and battery and murder and manslaughter.
I am orignially from Fairbanks, AK, a blue collar town in the middle of nowhere. Growing up in an atmosphere like Fairbanks contributed alot to the person that I am today. It instilled in me a strong work ethic, even in highschool if you weren't working 60 hrs a week during the summer time then your friends would joke that you had an easy job, that carries over to my practice today. Growing up in Fairbanks also instilled a sense of self reliance and a drive to overcome obtacles that has stayed with me through out my life.. Many people ask "How'd you end up all the way down here in Oklahoma?" My family is orginally from Oklahoma going all the back to the land rush days. My parents, grandparents, and Aunt and Uncle all moved to Alaska in the late 70's to pursue new oppurntunities in the last frontier. After highschool I spen several years playing Junior hockey and finally had to realize that a sports career was never going to pay the bills. Upon that realization I knew I had to look to a career and didn't want to work in the bitter cold of the oild fields of Northern Alaska. My sister was attending OU at the time and filled out an application for me and it came back that I was accepted, so off I went.. I graduated from OU in 4 years and then attended the University of Tulsa College of Law where I graduated in 2006. I had orginally planned to move to Washington State to be closer to home and passed the bar examination there before deciding that I would return to OKlahoma. I was licensed to practice law in OKlahoma in 2007 and immediately began working as an Assisstant Attorney General for the Muscogee (Creek) Nation. I worked for the Nation for approximately 1 1/2 years before leavine to open up my own firm in 2008.. I have tried over a dozen jury trials, in both state and federal court, from misdemeanor assault and battery cases to a death penalty case. I am constantly trying to improve my trial skills by attending various seminars (e.g. Gerry Spence Trial Lawyers College Death Penalty Course, Colorado Method of Voir Dire in Boulder colorado as well as the Pat Williams Criminal Defense Institute).. I am currently married and have 2 children.. My practice focuses entirely on criminal law and I am dedicated to protecting the rights of my clients above all else.
