Shaffer received the prestigious award for The Order of Barristers. Shaffer also held multiple officer positions in various student organization including the Student Bar Association, Federalist Society, and TU Outlaws. During her time in law school, she had interned as a law clerk and gained experience in various areas of litigation including appellate work in both the Oklahoma Supreme Court and the Tenth Circuit.
