My practice exclusively focuses on helping families plan for the future and administering the estates of their loved ones. Unlike other attorneys, who offer estate planning and administration services as part of a general practice or big firm, I have developed the depth of experience and skill that comes with concentrating on one area of the law for decades.. I serve a wide range of clients, some who have amassed considerable wealth and others with more modest means. Many clients come to me with complex family arrangements while others have simpler, more traditional needs. I take pride in confidently serving all of them with equal attention.. I charge clients for my services on a flat-fee basis. Other lawyers charge by the hour and have clients who leave their offices feeling unnerved about the ultimate costs of legal services. I believe that uncertainty breeds dissatisfaction.. That is why, after an initial meeting to determine a prospective client's needs, I quote a fee to complete the work that needs to be done. If a prospective client chooses not to proceed, there is no charge for the initial meeting. If a client does ask me to proceed, the client knows exactly how much my services will cost before making a commitment. I charge no additional fees when my clients have additional questions about their estate plans, even years down the road.
My focus in every case is my client and how to achieve their goals. While I have extensive trial and litigation experience, I am also trained in Mediation/Alternative Dispute Resolution. Particularly in the area of Family Law, the ability to effectively negotiate is just as important as trial advocacy and my mediation background allows me to tailor my approach to my client's individual needs.. I have been practicing Family Law exclusively for over 20 years in the state of Delaware. After graduating from Washington & Jefferson College in 1998, I attended Villanova University School of Law. After graduating from Villanova, I clerked for the Honorable William L. Chapman and the Honorable Alison Whitmer Tumas, State of Delaware Family Court. I am a partner at MacElree Harvey and manage the Centreville Delaware office.

I am a native of Wilmington, Delaware. After graduating from the University of Delaware, I began working for Senator Tom Carper in his Wilmington office. Soon after, I transferred to the Senator's D.C. office to work on a number of public policy issues while attending law school at the Catholic University of America.. After the Pennsylvania and Delaware bars, I decided to join my father's trusts and estates practice in Greenville, DE. I am enthusiasticly interested in this area of the law.. Our clients come to us with a variety of life experiences and hearing their stories makes my job rich and fulfilling. I am greatful for the realtionships and trust I've earned with clients. I look forward to building my practice for a long time to come.
I am a lifelong Delaware resident who decided to go into law to help people. I enjoy the varied practice of law and the personal interaction with my clients. It also does not hurt to win hard fought cases for my clients.. While I work in an office and the Court, my personal time is spent in the outdoors as much as practicle. My favorite days are hikes or swimming with my Labradore, Sassy.
