Tom received his law degree from the National University of Ireland and was awarded the Sweet and Maxwell Law prize for first place in the study of law. Most recently, as Bureau Chief in the Special Victims Unit in Rensselaer County, Tom regularly handled felony and misdemeanor sex crimes, domestic violence, crimes against children and crimes against the elderly. In addition to his work at the offices of the District Attorney, Tom joined the New York State Assembly Minority staff as an associate counsel and later became Deputy Legislative Director.. Tom is often called upon by local and national news organizations to comment on prominent criminal cases.  He has been called upon as an expert in both the political and legal fields for Fox News, Capital News 9, News Channel 10, as well as National Public Radio (NPR) and WGY, making numerous appearances on the Al Roney Show as well as The Tully Rinckey Legal Power Hour.

Lee Short graduated from Pepperdine University School of Law in 2010.  He has successfully represented individuals charged with drug offenses, capital murder, and sexual offenses at jury trials across Arkansas in both federal and state courts.. Mr. Short has also garnered numerous post-conviction victories by direct appeal and Rule 37 proceedings, which have freed several clients from prison.  He has argued before the Arkansas Supreme Court and Eighth Circuit Court of Appeals several times.. Todd Nelson graduated from the University of Denver College of Law in 1984 and worked over 31 years with the Colorado State Public Defenders Office from 1985 to 2016, including seven years as Office Head of the Adams County Regional Office. Daniel McCollum was born in Leesburg, Virginia. He grew up in Harpers Ferry, West Virginia, and graduated from Shepherd University where he earned a Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice. After earning his undergraduate degree, Daniel enlisted in the U.S. Navy, where he honed his craft in research, writing, and public speaking by briefing complex issues to flag officers and other senior government executives. Daniel previously served or consulted at the Department of Homeland Security, Office of Naval Intelligence, Defense Intelligence Agency, National Counterterrorism Center, and Office of the Secretary of Defense.. While working full time, Daniel earned his J.D. from George Mason University’s Antonin Scalia Law School.
