In addition to his work at the offices of the District Attorney, Tom joined the New York State Assembly Minority staff as an associate counsel and later became Deputy Legislative Director.. Tom is often called upon by local and national news organizations to comment on prominent criminal cases.  He has been called upon as an expert in both the political and legal fields for Fox News, Capital News 9, News Channel 10, as well as National Public Radio (NPR) and WGY, making numerous appearances on the Al Roney Show as well as The Tully Rinckey Legal Power Hour.
