I have dedicated the past twenty-five years helping those who are injured at work; in car, bicycle, and motorcycle accidents; from animal attacks; and when a someone is injured on at the premises of another or business. I am frequently called upon to serve as local counsel for out-of-state attorneys handling these kinds of cases in Iowa. I have tried a multitude of civil jury trials and bench trials. Every case I take is one that will be prepared as though the case will be decided at trial, knowing that level of preparation is the key to resolving cases in an informal settlement or mediation, which is how most cases are currently resolved.

Thaddeus received his law degree from Seattle University School of Law, and subsequently obtained his license to practice in the State of Washington in 2002. He exclusively represents injured workers in all phases of litigation including cases before the Board of Industrial Insurance Appeals, the Social Security Office of Hearings and Appeals, the Washington Superior Court and Court of Appeals. Thaddeus is a member of the Washington State Bar Association, an Eagle member of the Washington State Association for Justice and has been a pro bono volunteer for the Housing Justice Project.

Mr. Morrell has helped injured workers with workers’ compensation, social security disability and employment law claims since 1995.  He has appeared before Administrative Law Courts in Colorado, Kansas, Alaska & Wyoming, Colorado District Court and United States Federal Court.  He has argued Workers’ Compensation claims at all levels, including up to the Colorado Supreme Court.  Some of his cases have been featured in National Public Radio, 60 Minutes, and MSNBC.. Mr. Morrell earned his Law Degree from the University of Denver, College of Law in 1995.  He earned his Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing at the University of Northern Colorado, College of Business in 1992.  Born and raised in Mexico City, Mexico and fluent in Spanish, Mr. Morrell also studied Mexican Law at the Universidad de Guanajuato under the auspices of the University of San Diego.. He served with the United States Naval Reserve from 1990 to 1998 receiving the Navy League Outstanding Recruit Award out of a Naval Recruit Class of 550, and a Top Secret Security Clearance during his placement with CINCUSNAVEUR in London, England - the Naval Unit tasked with logistics and readiness for all US Naval Forces in Europe and the Middle East.

After spending my childhood in Colorado and then moving away with my family, I returned in 2000 to Northern Colorado and put down roots. I began with the Colorado State Public Defender's Office, where I enjoyed more than 10 years as a Deputy State Public Defender.. In 2011, it was time to open my own practice, and the Stout Law Firm was born. I practice in the areas of Personal Injury, Consumer Protection, Worker's Compensation, and Criminal Defense.. I have been lead counsel in more than 150 jury trials and hudreds of trials to the court. I have argued in the appellate courts and the Colorado Supreme Court.. My very best days are ones I spend in court helping people to resolve their cases, whether that be through negotiation, mediation, ligiation, or trial. Ilene Feldmeier’s practice primarily focuses on representing employers and insurance clients in workers’ compensation claims in Arizona, Colorado, and Idaho. She has litigated hundreds of workers’ compensation cases and prevailed on many appellate cases.  Ilene represents employers and insurance carriers in all aspects of workers’ compensation claims including defending full contests, medical benefit claims, safety rule violations, termination for cause, death benefits involving determination of common law spouse, penalty claims, recouping overpayments, withdrawing admissions, fraud, mental impairment, permanent total disability, apportionment, and many other issues.  Ilene also assists clients with employment law issues including resignations, termination, release of claims, and ADA considerations.. Ilene joined Pollart Miller LLC as a Law Clerk in 2007 while finishing law school.  In May 2008, after passing the Colorado Bar, Ilene became an Associate with the Firm.  In 2016, Ilene became a Partner with the Firm.  Prior to graduating from law school, Ilene completed a judicial internship for the Colorado Office of Administrative Courts, gaining valuable experience in workers’ compensation and general services administrative law.  Since joining Pollart Miller LLC, Ilene has worked continuously in litigation involving Colorado workers’ compensation claims.  In 2017, at the specific request of a client that valued Ilene’s work in Colorado, Ilene began practicing workers’ compensation law in Idaho and has handled claims involving compensability, medical benefits, and subsequent injuries.  In 2018, Ilene began practicing workers’ compensation law in Arizona and has already assisted clients with cases involving compensability, physician designation, and settlement.. Ilene is a St. Louis native and she graduated from Missouri State University with a Bachelor’s degree in Entertainment Management in 2002.  Following, this Ilene worked in restaurant management for 3 years and gained valuable experience with customer service, personnel management and other various employment issues that helps her comprehend and relate to the concerns of her clients.  Ilene graduated from the University of Denver Sturm College of Law in December 2007 and passed the Colorado Bar in February 2008.  In her spare time, Ilene enjoys spending time with her children, running, and volunteering.  Ilene has completed several half marathons and full marathons, including the Leadville Heavy Half Marathon and Disney’s 48.6 mile Dopey Challenge, and regularly volunteers for various organizations throughout the community.

Ms. Grimes joined Pollart Miller LLC as an associate in 2012. After graduating from law school, she was selected as part of the Attorney General Honors’ Program in the U.S. Department of Justice. She spent two years with the Executive Office of Immigration Review as an Attorney Advisor, where she gained extensive experience with immigration, criminal, and procedural matters before a federal administrative body.. Since joining Pollart Miller, Ms. Grimes has focused her practice on civil litigation, employment law, and workers’ compensation defense. She represents insureds, employers, and insurance carriers before state courts and administrative agencies, both at the trial court and appellate levels. Ms. Grimes has represented clients in all phases of litigation and mediation through appeal; she has argued before the Colorado Court of Appeals and has briefed cases to the Colorado Court of Appeals and Supreme Court.

Ms. Condon joined Pollart Miller LLC in 2014. She represents employers, insurance carriers and third-party administrators in defending claims from the initial litigation stages of discovery and depositions, through hearing and settlement, when appropriate.. After graduating from law school in 2008, Ms. Condon worked for the New York firm Stewart, Greenblatt, Manning and Baez until joining the Legal Aid Society of Suffolk County New York in 2009.. Her practice included extensive motion and jury trial experience. She obtained successful outcomes through a combination of zealous advocacy and when appropriate, effective plea bargaining.. In 2011, Ms. Condon returned to Stewart, Greenblatt, Manning and Baez. Mr. Irwin is a native of Colorado Springs, Colorado.  He began his litigation practice with the City of Colorado Springs, providing counsel to all City departments including airport, fire, hospitals, human resources, police and the largest four-service municipality owned utility in the nation.  He was the City’s primary litigator in employment, subrogation, and workers’ compensation matters.  In 2007 he was recruited to Ritsema & Lyon, P.C., specializing in workers’ compensation, subrogation and general insurance defense litigation.  In 2009 he formed Irwin, P.C., a law firm specializing in all aspects of employer needs, including employment law advisement and litigation, subrogation, and workers’ compensation.  Wanting to provide his clients with the advantages of a top tier full service law firm, Mr. Irwin joined Pollart Miller LLC in 2012.

Ms. Benson joined Pollart Miller in 2012 and focuses her practice on insurance defense litigation, including representing companies and insurance carriers in workers’ compensation and liability matters, and criminal defense.. During law school Ms. Benson served as the Editor-in-Chief of the Barry Law Review where she was responsible for the publication of two law review journals, as well as hosting a live symposium. Ms. Benson also interned with a Fortune 500 company, served as a research assistant, and became a Certified Legal Intern in Barry University’s Children and Families Clinic where she represented juveniles charged with criminal offenses.. Upon graduating from law school, Ms. Benson gained significant trial experience by serving as a prosecutor in Volusia County, Florida. During her time with the State Attorney’s Office, Ms. Benson sat first and second chair on numerous jury trials, bench trials, and violation of probation hearings, as well as successfully argued countless motions and other pre-trial matters.. Ms. Benson left the State Attorney’s Office in 2010 to focus her practice solely on civil litigation. Ms. Benson practiced with a personal injury law firm in Orlando, Florida where she represented injured clients in medical malpractice, premises liability, nursing home neglect, auto accidents and other personal injury actions. Mr. Cairns’ practice focuses on workers’ compensation litigation and related employment law. Mr. Cairns attended the University of Wisconsin at Madison where he received a Bachelor of Arts degree with honors in Psychology in 1975. He also attended the University of Wisconsin at Milwaukee where he pursued a Master’s in industrial psychology. Following graduate school, he obtained his law degree from the University of Texas at Austin in 1982. Mr. Cairns has been licensed to practice law in the State of Colorado since 1982.. Mr. Cairns has thirty-seven years of experience as an attorney in matters relating to workers’ compensation and employment law. He has published several articles in The Colorado Lawyer concerning employment issues, and has been a frequent speaker concerning workers’ compensation, fitness for duty testing, medical marijuana, and the special needs of older workers with injuries.  He has taught basic legal research in the paralegal training programs for Metropolitan State College in Denver and the Denver Paralegal Institute. In addition, he is the founder and principal instructor for The Center for Workers’ Compensation Training, a private occupational school.. Mr. Cairns, who hails from Wisconsin, currently serves as president of Cairns & Associates, P.C. in Denver, Colorado.
